🙏Transport Day🙏

Today Brenda Wilkinson with Hands of Mercy Sanctuary of San Angelo Texas will be transporting 10 of our kitties to her wonderful sanctuary. This will leave us 21 cats left to transport. We asked that each and everyone of you please pray that the transport will be successful! I will take pictures and update you as soon as I can!

🙏🐾 Help Needed🐾🙏

I was hoping to get some volunteers today (Sunday at 1:00) to move supplies and clean some snoozers and get supplies ready in case they want to transport some supplies next Friday any help would be appreciated even if it's just for an hour or two. We will be doing a transport next Friday and then after that the transports will be every week on Saturday until all the kitties are gone to the Hands of Mercy Sanctuary in San Angelo. I appreciate any help I can get! Thank you in advance for helping. 🐾Transport Delayed!🐾

Our next transport will be a week from tomorrow. We are giving Brenda Wilkinson a chance to heal before taking on any more kitties. Please say a prayer for our special angel who will be taking all of the 31 paws residents 5 to 10 at a time each transport to her wonderful sanctuary.

Today I was blessed to have Teresa Belmore and her husband Santos help me unload my truck of supplies and take four very overused scratching posts to the trash. They also visited with me and the kitties, and gave the cats lots of pets and love! I want to tell you how God has put so many wonderful, kind people in my life to help me through this journey of many new beginnings and ends. God continues to amaze me with so many blessings and working every thing out so perfectly!

Today at 1:00 we will be having a get together at the shelter for those who wish to attend and help with the closure of the PAWS Cat Rescue Haven House. For 21 years , we have saved and rehomed many many kitties for Odessa and the surrounding areas. I will be needing help cleaning snoozers and getting supplies gathered for when Brenda comes next Friday for the first transport of cats to her wonderful sanctuary. I am uncertain how many will be going this trip but every Friday in August she will come and get kitties until all the kitties are gone Also just loving on the kitties will be helpful, and unboxing supplies if needed. I do appreciate each and every one of you who have offered your help in transporting and helping me with this closure. It is Bittersweet for me but I know the cats will be in good hands with Brenda Wilkinson. I can finally concentrate on my health thanks to Brenda Wilkinson and everyone who is helping me. A very huge thank you to my "Nebraska Angels" who have gone above and beyond to make this happen for me and the kitties. I pray that God will bless you all so big and I want you to know how much I appreciate each and everyone of you! 🙏 Desperately Needing help!🙏

Hands of Mercy Sanctuary will be starting the transports of our remaining 31 cats soon. I am uncertain how many cats will be transported each time. There will be quite a lot of trips as she is only going to take what she feels like she can handle and she already has a shelter full of cats and kittens. Brenda Wilkinson is taking the cats and being not only their hero, but also mine!

We are in desperate need of funds to give to her for transport and vetting for these 31 cats, and also we need funds so we can continue to operate our shelter until we close. Any remaining funds in our account after we close will be donated to Hands of Mercy Sanctuary. Update we will be transporting kitties 10 kitties at a time two trips and 11 kitties the third trip. We will not need that many carriers. I will just need about six carriers and we can reuse for each transport.

Paws remaining 31 cats will be heading to Hands of Mercy Sanctuary located in San Angelo Texas. Brenda and her wonderful Sanctuary was the first to step up in saving 9 cats of the Paws 40 cats needing placed, with a rescue for ALL kitties including special needs, senior and un-socialized kitties. Well our wonderful Lord has paved the road and opened doors making it possible for the last 31 PAWS kitties to go to this wonderful rescue, run by a person with the biggest heart ever, Brenda Wilkinson.

We are uncertain at this time if all 31 will go at once or we will do it in increments of 10, but we're looking at in about 3 weeks to start the process of transferring the kitties to their new sanctuary which may I add is beautiful and a perfect place for these babies! I am seeking anybody that has any extra carriers that they do not need as I'm going to need at least 25 carriers. If you have maybe some in storage that you don't need anymore we could certainly use them for transport. We also need a whole lot of prayers for Brenda Wilkinson as she is taking on so much. We need to pray for her good health and her ability to have the funds she needs and the help she needs. Yes she is our hero, the cats and myself. I will finally be able to close the rescue and concentrate on getting myself well and not worry about the cats being euthanized, or not being taken care of. They will definitely be in good hands! 🙏 Donations Needed! 🙏

Our electric bill just keeps going up! It's over $600 and we are only running one shelter now. I've tried to clean the filters the best I can and we did not have a full month with just one shelter, but this is something we cannot afford! I'm asking for help any help at all to pay this bill. These three amazing volunteers finished up the deep cleaning on the Paws shelter all day yesterday! Amy Belle Taylor and her husband Kevin, and Robin Leblanc-Miller spent all day long washing walls, floors, cleaning windows, and visiting the Paws kitties yesterday. It looks and smells amazing! A huge thank you to them all and also to Adriana for taking photos of all the kitties. We will be posting pictures of all of the residents as soon as possible! I'm thanking Jesus for the wonderful volunteers! I just know that he sent them to me!

A huge thank you to Amy Belle Taylor and Robin LeBlanc-Miller for deep cleaning one of the rooms at the PAWS shelter. They will be coming back next Sunday at 1:00 to do the other three rooms. For those who would like to help clean or just come to visit the kitties, private message me for more information. For any rescue who might be interested in taking some or even one of these cats, come out and meet them! You will not be obligated to take any, just come see if you think you might can give these kitties a chance and be their hero! Also, thank you Debbie Bailey and Diann McKee for stopping by for a much needed visit and loving on the kitties! These two wonderful ladies took care of the cats for over three months last year when I had my accident and was in a rehab nursing home.

Last but not least Legna Alfonso, who moved the last 3 of our ferals out of one shelter into the other allowing us one building in use and hopefully our electric bill will drop. She is also checking on the cats on a daily basis and medicating those who are in need. I believe it takes a village and I am so blessed to have so much support, and people who truly care and pray for us! Thank you all soooooo much!

🙏 Can Anyone Help?🙏

I am going to the PAWS shelter tomorrow at 1:00 to clean. I could certainly use any help at all, even if it's just an hour of your time. I don't want the cats to get sick so it's something that has to be done. I also need boxes broken down and supply room cleaned and organized. I just don't have the strength anymore to do what I used to do. I know the cats would love visitors so you would be helping them also. So I went to the cancer doctor today and I will be seeing a gastrologist to do a colonoscopy to make sure that my liver cancer is not coming from my colon. Once the results are in method of treatment will be used for one or both cancers. I still have 31 cats I need to find rescues for. I'm nothing short of begging for no kill rescues to please step up and be these cats Heroes and mine. I also need funds so I can pay these rescues to have them fully vetted and for transport fees. 🙏Miracle In Progress!🙏

I'm very happy to say we have a wonderful rescue who stepped up from San Angelo Texas, who are going to take five of our cats. The Hands of Mercy Sanctuary who specializes in medical, behavior, and hospice cats agreed to squeeze in five of our cats. So far there have been no rescues who have stepped up in the Odessa Midland area which is understandable, as I know they are all overfilled and overwhelmed with cat / kittens people don't take care of. I ask that you please continue to donate, share, and pray for us as we will still have 35 special needs cats and myself who need a hero. I will be going to the doctor next Tuesday and be given a treatment plan for my liver cancer. I just have to concentrate on my health and I cannot do it knowing these cats don't have a place to go. I'm asking all the rescues to reach out to other rescues who might can help. Please help us!🙏 They can come and see the cats and pick out the cats they want to save. They're all good cats, they just need work and socialization!

🙏40 Cats Need A Hero!🙏

We need prayers, we need a miracle! These 40 cats don't deserve to die. All the rescues are full and the ones that aren't don't want these. These are domesticated ferals. You can pet most of them, but you cannot pick them up. They're cats who all need to go to a rescue not a home. They are deemed not adoptable. I would not feel right adopting them into homes where there are children. These cats have never had a home. Their shelter cats, they are forgotten and their future is not looking good. I am Vickie Lee, founder of PAWS Cat Rescue Haven House. I have been saving kitties for the past 20 years and more . I have liver cancer and I need to concentrate on my health. I cannot do this until these cats are placed into rescues where they will be given a chance to be rehabilitated. I will be starting my treatment soon for the liver cancer. Like I say, they all need a hero and the options are not good. If you can't help please I need your prayers for myself and for these precious babies. I just need 8 rescues to take five cats each or 4 rescues to take 10 cats. All cats will be fully vetted and we will transport. I would like to thank those few who are still donating to us. Unfortunately our donations are less than our bills and we are so struggling! We got another high electric bill in which is over $500. I don't know why we keep getting high electric bills in . Maybe our units are old but we don't have the money to replace them either . We don't have the money to pay our electric bill.
