Man, life has been hard lately. It was a very hard decision to retire Betty and let her live her life as comfortable and happy as we can keep her!! There has been many incidents And signs that have led me to this decision but Jax Ginger and I.. and Orion are taking on the world together so here we go!!! Betty gets to be a happy ole lady who plays around with liberty! Just no more riding for us. ♥️♥️

The one thing I’ve learned in 2024 is that not everything goes to plan and that’s okay. I didn’t have the ride I wanted on Betty but it was the ride we both needed. Watched the sunset on the mountains and walked out and cleared the mind!

Not the best angle for either of us, but I’m a firm believer in always pat your pony!!! They’re trying their best too and that is recognized!!! Bad ride or not they are a living being too and we all have bad days!!! What’s important is you still give what you got on those days even if it’s 1% it’s better than 0!

9 years with my soul horse. And here we go on another crazy journey Jaxon. Mr Jax Jadoon as some people call you. You are THAT horse that everyone dreams of having. I have grown up with you and wouldn’t be the rider I am today without our journey together. You did just as buddy told you to do. You took care of this girl. You helped her gain her confidence when she swore off riding. You lit my dressage flame again and here we go. My little sport pony. You are my rock Jax my soul horse. Happy birthday my boy.

6 years I said goodbye to the horse that started it all for my riding career. My best friend. My heart. Today I finally got my closure. I got him back in the form of mecate reins and a hat band. The reins and band made from his mane and tail that I had kept after I said goodbye. I had every intention to video my opening of the reins but, I opened the reins, burried my face in the reins and sobbed. The reins were just as soft and reminded me of the feeling of his hair on my face again. My buddy will always be with me no matter where I’m at. He will always be running with me.

So…as an equestrian and an athlete my health is super important to me and I’m going to be up front, I have had a roller coaster of a year with finding out things about my health, but these 4 main things have been keeping me going, my daily vitamins the morning lifestyle mix to fuel my day and the collagen to keep my hair growing long and pretty hahah it’s been a goal of mine to have long healthy hair again!!! But I want to be my best self and show up for my equine partners! Thanks to I can do that!!!

🤎🤍My Muddy Buddy Jax🤍🤎 my letter to you. Your job was to take care of the little girl he left behind and that’s exactly what you’ve done. To grow up with you has been such a special journey, every year your personality shines through even more and I grow to love you even more. You have made me laugh so much and you have helped me achieve all my goals even if that means just winning one belt buckle in my life. My dressage loving quarter horse we have quite the journey ahead and I cannot wait to see where we go. Thank you Jax for being my steady mount through thick and thin. 🌻💛Princess Betty 💛🌻 my letter to you would go something like this….. from the moment I was told about you I knew I had to meet you. A big withered thoroughbred who was absolutely stunning to me. Full of winter floof and your usual mud mask. A hole still in my heart from loosing my buddy and trying to find a purpose in my riding again. You have taken care of the dressage loving girl who needed confidence and you continue to do so with every ride. You have stolen my heart and given me a goal and purpose again and I cannot thank you enough. I hope to spoil you as much as you have spoiled me!!! Here’s to our journey and path ahead!!!

Let’s be real, the highs and lows of horses and the importance of knowing what to do in sticky situations. We have always been hyper aware of how jaxs feet get done and his comfort level. I had to pull his shoes due to them shifting and not being the proper shoe for his needs!!! He’s my sensitive guy and his comfort is my #1 priority when it comes to our journey through dressage!!!
