Hope's Rescue is dedicated to Hope, a little Chihuahua that was thrown into a firepit and later died from her injuries. Hope's legacy will live on.

We are a passionate group of volunteers who are dedicated in helping as many shelter and relinquished animals find forever homes as possible. Each one of our volunteers comes to our rescue with a wealth of knowledge and deep understanding of the problems that exist with the overflowing amount of animals in shelters that have no chance of making it out. We can not save ALL of them but we will save

as many as humanly possible. All of our animals will be in foster homes so that gives us the opportunity to see their behavior, training, special needs and anything else that needs to addressed before adopting out.

We have a very special little girl who has joined our rescue.

Her name is Lucy and she's around 4 to 5 years old.
Lucy spent 30 days in the shelter and we finally had an opening to take her.

Lucy was throwing up in the shelter and wasn't feeling good. We immediately took her to our vet and had bloodwork.
Unfortunately the bloodwork showed stage 3 kidney failure, so we immediately put her on prescription kidney food.
After a few days we noticed Lucy was regurgitating her food and water. We took her back to the vet and had an Xray to determine if there was possibly a blockage.

Sadly the news was that Lucy suffers from mega esophagus and she was regurgitating her food and water and was losing weight.

So we did a crash course of what we needed to do!

We found a Bailey chair and Lucy now eats from her chair and needs to wait for around 20 to 30 minutes before getting out.
She eating satin balls, kidney food 3 times a day) which are all high in nutrients and calories.

Lucy is probably the sweetest little girl ever! Her gentle spirit and her soulful eyes just melt your heart.

We know that Lucy's time with us will never be long enough, but until that day we will continue to fight for her and give her a wonderful life.

We love you Lucy!

Freedom ride for Harper
This little gal is coming to Hope’s rescue today from a salt lake shelter.

Harper is around 9 years old and is deaf.
What a doll!
She’s so happy and loveable!

We’ll know more about Harper and her personality soon.

She will be seeing our vet soon for a good checkup and more than likely a dental.

Hope’s Rescue would like all of you to meet Clara.
Clara is a schnauzer poodle mix and weighs around 23 pounds.
This sweet girl has not had a good life in her 2 years.
We pulled her from the shelter around 3 weeks ago.
Her mouth had been taped or tied with something and she has the scars that remain.
When Clara arrived we saw that she walked with a definite limp and seemed weak in her back end.
We had an X-ray and sadly Clara had a broken pelvis. It had started to heal but definitely she is lame.

The pelvis will eventually heal, although will always walk with a limp, the scars will eventually be covered with her fur and the clumps of fur that has come out will eventually fill in.

We are more worried about how she will do emotionally.
She’s probably the most broken dog I’ve ever had in 16 years.
Each day I watch for improvement and there are days I see a little sign of her trusting me more but we have a long road ahead.

We’re hoping to do a post eventually where Clara is ready to find her very own loving family!

I guess only time will tell.
She’s safe and she’s loved and that’s ok for now!

When Stanley arrived at the shelter a couple of months ago he was covered in matted dread locks with a sticky substance all over. He was so matted they couldn't even tell what gender. He had numerous tumors and had been horribly neglected.

Hope's Rescue pulled him and immediately got him to our vet to determine what needed to be done first.

He was able to have surgery the following day to remove the tumors.
We waited a few weeks to have his dental.

Through all of this Stanley has been just the sweetest boy....so gentle and so loving.
He loves other dogs, no issues with cats and loves children!
Basically Stanley loves everyone!

Stanley is a small standard poodle who weighs around 35 pounds. He's approximately 8 years old.
Housetrained
Gentle and sweet
He's fully recovered from his surgeries.
Fully vetted, rabies, vaccinated and microchip.

Stanley now is waiting to find his forever loving family and to never be neglected again!

MR. PERSONALITY... aka Frankie is ready to find his forever family!

This charming boy is around 4 to 5 years of age.
Toy poodle and weighs around 9 to 10 pounds.

When I say he's a charmer.....we mean it!
He loves big dogs, small dogs, kids and People!

Frankie is fully vetted and had a dental a few days ago so he's ready!

He loves to play and romp so really would love a canine sibling.
He's definitely not alpha but pretty passive, so he will fit in to almost any family!

Daisy is available! If you remember the two dogs thrown in the outdoor cage, Daisy was one of them.
She's just the sweetest little girl.
Around 1 year of age
17 pounds
Schnauzer terrier poodle mix.
Great with other dogs, cats and loves kids!
House trained.

She's just the happiest little girl.....even though tossed like garbage in to the outdoor kennel that day.

Our precious Eileen was adopted!
We had a few applications but this one just stood out!

It's almost like you know the right home for them. After speaking to her, going over the application, she came today to meet her!
Within probably 5 minutes she was in love. ( well maybe 1 minute)
Her new mama is a barber and owns her own shop....Eileen will be going to work with her!

Both her foster mom and I felt this is the one!
A huge thank you to her foster mom who has cared for Eileen the past several months through her surgeries. Loving her and caring for her.

It's always bittersweet when one of our foster's go, especially when they've been through so much.

Eileen is a very special girl and we send her with our love! Eileen we will NEVER forget you!
