Today, we are celebrating a very special occasion—our wonderful veterinary technician, Liza, is getting married! To allow our team to attend her wedding ceremony, our urgent care services will be **closed today**.

We appreciate your understanding as we take this time to celebrate Liza and David’s new journey. Please join us in wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness!

For any pet emergencies, please contact our main number 801-689-2244 to speak to a veterinary technician that will assist you with advise and help you contact your nearest animal ER. We will resume normal operations on Monday.

Today, we join our community in mourning the loss of K9 Zekk, a dedicated and courageous member of our local police department. Zekk’s service, loyalty, and unwavering devotion to protecting our community will never be forgotten.

Our hearts go out to his handler, fellow officers, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Thank you, K9 Zekk, for your years of service—your legacy will live on.

We’d like to officially announce our new Balto Program Canine Hero, Ranger.

Ranger’s Legacy: A True Community Hero

Meet Ranger, a 9-year-old bloodhound who served Davis County for 9 incredible years before retiring in July 2024. As the county’s first police bloodhound, Ranger worked alongside his dedicated handler, Sergeant Boyle, forming a team that tracked suspects, found missing children, and assisted countless agencies.

Ranger’s journey began as a pup with a natural talent for trailing, eventually leading him to train extensively and become a trusted partner in law enforcement. His unique reward? Oreo cookies! Over his career, Ranger tracked over 173 miles, located 83 suspects, and reunited families by finding 6 missing children.

Beyond his work, Ranger became a beloved figure in the community, attending over 120 events and winning hearts with his floppy ears and quirky personality. Now retired, Ranger enjoys a slower pace of life but still perks up when he hears sirens or visits the station.

Ranger’s impact on our community and law enforcement is immeasurable. Thank you for your service, Ranger—you’ve earned your Oreos and so much more!

🌟 Week One Update: Brit Goes Remote – Texas Edition! 🤠💻

Y’all, it’s been one whole week of Brit working remotely from the Lone Star State! While she’s soaking up that Texas sunshine (but missing the snow), she’s seriously missing her amazing team back home. 🐾❤️

But distance makes the heart grow fonder—and prouder! Brit can’t stop bragging about the incredible work her team continues to do for the sweet animals we’re so lucky to care for. 🐶🐱
