Our last weekend with client dog, Nova. She is out of the Stella X McCrae 2024 litter. She came in for puppy obedience training and rocked it! I’m sure her owners are very anxious to have her back home in a few short days! We will miss this sweet little girl 🖤

🚨Litter announcement🚨
We are having TWO litters this fall! Expected take home would be mid December!! 🎄🎄We have bred:
PLAHN’S PRINCE BLEAU VON HAMMETSED, MH with AGP JUNE BUG, JH
This match up is our first AI breeding done at ISU as Bleau is now retired and we had his semen frozen. June’s potential master title for this fall had to be put on hold as she went into heat earlier than expected! We are over the moon excited for this litter!

We have also bred:
STANDING STONES PLAHN MCCRAE, JH with CAJUNS MOGLEY LEGEND OF THE JUNGLE, JH
This is their second match up together and they produce outstanding puppies. We will be working on getting McCrae’s master title later this fall!

Contact us for any interest on either of these breedings. We have an ultrasound scheduled next month to confirm pregnancies 🎉🎉🐾🐾

Learning commands indoors is one thing but learning those same behaviors outside with distractions is a whole new ball game.

We had a fantastic send home day last weekend! We said goodbye to Nawa, Kate, and Chance! All 3 were in for training for several weeks and they kicked butt! Each of the dogs were at different stages and all had different goals. We had so much fun working with them and it was such a pleasure to have them with us! ❤️🐶🐾

MYSTERY PUPPY!
Bartos was this year's mystery puppy, we pick one puppy a year to donate the full purchase price of said puppy to a cause that is near and dear to our hearts. Bartos was chosen the day he was born, he came into the world with a bang and he has blessed many lives with his arrival! All of the pups from this past litter had some sort of bird name except for Bartos, he was named after an incredible vet tech who worked on him after his birth and we are so grateful for the incredible team over at the Boone Veterinary Hospital

Bartos's purchase price was donated to two different causes this year.
1. T. T. T. which is a national organization of women who send girls to camp — and more! It is a nonprofit, philanthropic organization dedicated to providing an educational camping experience for girls who might not otherwise have the chance. His donation sent two girls from Ogden to camp for one week.

2. Helping Heroes Foundation which is a nonprofit organization geared toward promoting wellness among veterans and first responders by getting them outdoors. We are training Nawa, one of the dogs they will use for their guided hunts. "For many, hunting is a shared passion. Although it's a wonderful hobby, the healing is not in the hunt or harvest. The magic is in the journey!"

Great tips on handling Fireworks with your dogs! Gunshots and Fireworks have very different sound frequencies to dogs. Just because they are gun broke does not mean they won't be bothered by Fireworks. Stay safe everyone!!

More dogs go missing on July 4th than any other day of the year. Check out our tips for keeping your dog safe this 4th of July:

➡️ Be sure your dog is wearing a collar with up-to-date contact information. We always say, "your lost dog can't call you!"
➡️ Talk to your neighbors. Ask them to give you a heads-up before they begin their firework display.
➡️ Walk your dog before fireworks begin. It may be awhile before it's safe for them to go back outside.
➡️ Use a TV, radio, or white noise machine to help drown out the sound of fireworks.
➡️ Provide them with plenty of fresh water -- anxious dogs pant more, causing them to get thirsty more quickly.
➡️ Make sure you have a safe, comfortable place for them to be while the fireworks are going on, preferably in an interior room to lessen the sound of fireworks.
➡️ Close blinds and window coverings in order to block bright lights from startling your dog.
