All of the dogs in my care, have been unwitting companions on my grief-laden path, they have become silent witnesses to my sorrow. They've absorbed the weight of my emotions, witnessed my ugly cries and offered a gentle warmth that soothes the sharp edges of loss. I imagine they wonder why their doggy holiday has turned into a masterclass in human vulnerability. But in their quiet and loving presence, I find moments of comforting peace. I assume they are happy to be going home today.

In the midst of our raw and immense sorrow, David’s family is overwhelmed with a sense of abiding gratitude for the extraordinary community of customers who have embraced us and those who have “adopted” us. Your unwavering support, demonstrated through the consistent delivery of nourishing meals, essential provisions, and heartfelt communications, has been a source of immense comfort. We are particularly moved by the individual who graciously inquires about our grocery and snack requirements bi weekly, and by the regular, empathetic check-ins that affirm our well-being. The magnanimous gesture of extended canine boarding/training stays has provided us with invaluable moments of reprieve. Moreover, the thoughtful provision of books on grief has been a profound and cherished gift. To Denise, Eric, each and every Holly, Kathy, Vince, Carrie, Steve, Carl, Tim, Craig, Randi, Sharon, Darin, Missy, Dan, and Al, and to all who have shown us kindness, and generosity, we offer our sincerest thanks for touching our hearts. ❤️

Our home is this guest’s second home. She was content to hang out on the couch as I get caught up on my books about grief and now she is done relaxing and wants to play ball.
Dogs are the best therapists. They get me up and moving every day.

David's day was truly a beautiful and moving tribute, overflowing with love and support. We were so touched by the incredible outpouring of love from everyone who came to celebrate David's life with us. It meant the world to our family.

Molly's eulogy was a masterpiece of love and remembrance. Her ability to capture the essence of David and express our collective grief and love was truly remarkable. So many people commented on how deeply they were moved by her words. We are so blessed to have her in our lives.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who contributed to making David's day so special. Whether you were there in person, sent a message, offered a helping hand, or simply held us in your thoughts, your support has been invaluable. EVERY act of kindness, big or small, has touched our hearts.

I apologize that I wasn't able to take any photos myself. My mind was simply elsewhere. However, I'm so grateful to those who did capture moments from the day, and I will be sure to share them as soon as I receive them. So check back often.

Kelli so thoughtfully recorded the service. We will be sharing the recording as soon as it's available, so that everyone can have a chance to hear it again, or for the first time if they weren't able to attend.

Thank you again to everyone who came to celebrate David's life, shared their love and support, and recounted their cherished memories of him. Your presence was a true blessing and comfort. ❤️
