Protect your furry friends:

Keep your pets on a leash near water bodies. Don't allow them to drink from or swim in water with a visible bloom.
Rinse your pet thoroughly with clean water if they come into contact with algae.

Many have been wanting an update on their favorite dog trainer!
First, I never knew what one day at a time meant until now...thank you for your heartfelt support and encouragement during this difficult journey. It means the world to me and the family.

DAVID UPDATE from a couple days ago:
This past week has been an absolute nightmare for David. Imagine going through hell and back – that's what it's felt like for him. He's been battling nausea, diarrhea, and a complete loss of appetite for days. Even a sip of water to take his medication brings it all back up. He's lost a shocking amount of weight and is now reliant on IV fluids to keep him nourished.
On top of everything, he spiked a fever that sent chills down my spine. With his white blood cell count already at zero, it was terrifying. The doctors ran every test imaginable to rule out pneumonia and other infections, putting him on antibiotics as a precaution. He has also received multiple blood transfusions and it has been an incredibly difficult week.
Thankfully, the medical staff has been incredible. They have reassured us that these side effects are expected. But that doesn't make it any easier for a worrier like me to witness.
Here's the bright light: TODAY, his white blood count finally went from zero to 0.1! We're celebrating this teeny, tiny victory and can't wait to see it continue to climb.
