Kevin was a cherished companion, an incredible hunter, a canine of exceptional intelligence and boundless affection. We express our gratitude to the Bedonts for lavishing Kevin with such unwavering love and care.

Austin named this sweet chocolate pup Carter, inspired by a fearless video game hero. But Carter surpassed even the greatest fictional characters. He grew into an extraordinary K9, a loyal partner, and a true hero. We're heartbroken to hear about Vinny's loss. Carter was one-of-a-kind. We are so incredibly proud to have been a tiny part of his journey.

Today is Indigenous Peoples' Day!

Eagle feathers (pictured here) are of great religious and cultural significance to many Native American communities. The National Eagle Repository near Denver, Colorado collects and distributes eagle feathers for use in Native American ceremonies and spiritual customs. The Raptor Center routinely sends carcasses of deceased eagles to the repository so in essence, the spirit of these birds lives on.

While they are beautiful, it is illegal to possess eagle feathers if you are unauthorized. This law is in place to protect raptors and other native bird species, as well as to honor Native American spiritual tradition. If you find a feather on the ground, you may admire it, take a photo if you like, but leave it where you found it.
