This is Rubble he is a 17yr old 14.2h red roan gelding. He is super cute, very gentle and laid back. Been in parades, grand entries, lots and lots of miles on trails. Been on over night trail rides, crosses water easy. Good with traffic and other animals. He has been rode by all ages and sizes, great family horses and confidence booster. He has a very smooth and easy lope. No spook, will rope dummy. Goes anywhere you ask him to. Gets along in mixed herd. Good with farrier, loads and hauls well, good to catch.
Gidget is 17 yrs old 12h gentle gentle sorrel pony. He is a super fun pony, very easy for any kid to ride. Goes where ever you point him. Goes any speed kid ask. He is great on trails, no spook, good in traffic, will track cattle, rope dummy, carry flag. Sorts cattle. We have taken him to a trail challenge show and he did perfect. Great size.
Donnie is a 7-year-old gelding who stands at 13.2 hands tall. He has a kind and gentle temperament, and he's easy to handle both on the ground and under saddle. He's been ridden by people of all ages and experience levels, and he's always patient and forgiving. He's not spooky or hot-headed, and he's easy to control on the trail. He's been ridden through a variety of terrain and conditions, including forests, open fields, and busy roads. He will make a great Addition to your family
So you bought a pony....
Here are some things we do to make sure our kids have a good ride every time
Desensitize your pony with a flag. Horses are a prey animal and often time their flight response if the first thing to show up. Give them and your kid a chance at a good ride. Flag and lunge them until they couldn't care less about any of it. The weather and environment can greatly affect your horses demeanor for that day, no matter how amazing the pony normally is. They are animals, with their own mind.
Let your kiddos be a part of the whole process but keep them safe while doing so. You can not just throw your child on a new pony and turn them loose in an uncontrolled area and expect it to go off without a hitch. Your children need to stay in a small controlled space for a long time. Until they can control the pony without issues. They need a healthy fear and respect for these animals.
This is not spirit riding free.
As much as it pains me to do it the best way I have found
to keep my kids close and teach them how to ride is to
keep the halter under the bridle. This helps the kid learn
to turn each way, stop, and backup all within arms reach.
This can also help take a strictly lead-lined pony into one
that can ride off alone.
Your life now consists of walking around with your kids while they ride. Or riding with your kids while they ride(after they have done a lot of riding with you being on the ground.) So throw your watch on and get them steps in.
Get some lessons! You wouldn't expect to buy a guitar, take it home and just know how to play. And your neighbor who owned horses 30 years ago or still keeps two 28 yr old pasture ornaments is not the professional you need to be getting advise from. Lots of lessons and from different people to broaden your knowledge.
Don't rush this. They need to walk for a LONG time before they go any faster. Not everyday will be perfect for the pony or your kid. We don't expect perfection from dogs, kids, spouses or even

🎄🎁 Our Beautiful grey gelding Gizmo is a 9yr old 14.1h This gelding is as gentle as they come. Very easy anyone can ride, been rode by all ages. Has been a family horse, used in 4H and playdays. Nothing bothers him. He is not super fast but does anything asked. He has been rode miles down the road and trails, been to grasslands, in parades. Will carry flag, sorts cattle, ropes dummy, goes thru water easy, gets along in large herd.
