We made it and it is devastating and roads are nearly impossible for most up here to go anywhere to get basic supplies.

Since Katrina, tornados, and many other hurricanes- I have seen ASPCA with their boots on the ground working disasters like no other and they need help. People here are not getting the resources and they don’t have the simply things for animals like food. From livestock to chickens to reptiles and of course dogs and cats they have nothing.

ASPCA has set up a warehouse in Fletcher North Carolina to assist all states in the disaster areas. They need continual supplies of food and please go on chewy, Amazon, or any online tonight and send it to this address please!! And below is a message I received from Tim after we talked.

Davis Event Center Western WNC AG Center Fletcher-1301 Fanning Bridge Road
Fletcher, NC 28732

This is Tim Rickey with ASPCA I am working with a state of North Carolina through the activation of our MOU. We have establish a western North Carolina pet supply distribution hub. The purpose of this hub is to provide a single source shipping location for all pet supplies we have a team on the ground prepared to receive the supplies repackage them and move them into the impacted communities. Supporting the animal facilities, pre-established pods, community pet distribution centers.

We are looking for 25,000 pounds of pet food broken up into adult dog, poppy, Cat, kitten. We are looking for dry and wet food.

We don’t want your money!!

In Beaufort County, South Carolina, the rules and fines for dogs running at large and leash laws on the Fourth of July are as follows:

1. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times in public areas, including parks, beaches, and sidewalks. This is to ensure the safety of the dog and others around them.

2. If a dog is found running at large, the owner may be subject to fines ranging from $50 to $500, depending on the severity of the offense and any previous violations.

3. On the Fourth of July, when there are typically fireworks displays and large crowds, it is especially important to keep dogs on a leash to prevent them from getting scared and running away.

4. Owners are also encouraged to make sure their dogs have proper identification, such as a collar with tags or a microchip, in case they do get lost.

5. Beaufort County Animal Services may have additional specific regulations in place for the Fourth of July holiday, so it is recommended to check with them for any updated rules or restrictions.

Overall, it is important for dog owners to be responsible and considerate of others by keeping their pets on a leash and under control, especially during busy holidays like the Fourth of July. Failure to do so could result in fines and potential harm to the dog or others.

Queen Abba has got her regal pose down! She has come SUCH a long way since she arrived in September. She was so scared and skittish in the beginning. All it took was a little bit of love and time for her to come out of her shell. Now Abba is so sweet and loving. She's calm, does well with other dogs, and she'll tolerate the lime light. ✨👑

We've got some Valentines that want to be yours! Unlike Mavis, Mickey LOVES to strike a pose for the camera. This guy is a goofy ham that loves to play! So many of his best buds have been adopted, and we wish he could join them on the outside. 💕

Drake is such a sweet boy! he is very calm for a German Shepherd. He isn’t jumpy, already knows sit, and is very receptive to training. He is good with other dogs and we think he would be a great family dog!

Two newbies and a Mavis! All three of these cuties know sit and are learning lay down. They have different personalities, but all three are eager to please!

What a difference 3 months and a home can do! You may remember Banjo from the post we did back in September. We had been trying to catch him for over a month along with the help of several people in the neighborhood. Officer Duffy crawled under a trailer and chased him through the woods until he finally caught him. Banjo had a collar that was embedded in his skin and was severely infected. He wouldn't have made it if we hadn't saved him when we did. Banjo's neck has healed and he is now living his best life in a happy home. 💗
