Hey y'all! We just wanted to post a little bit about us here at the farm. Some folks are confused about what we do and why we do it. Let's go ahead and clear that up.
WHAT WE ARE: We are a full working farm. We just do things the Crayzee way. Though you can pet some of our animals, we are not a petting zoo. Our farm is home to over 150 animals, both domestic and exotic. We are not necessarily a rescue, though we will lend a hand to the animal community when we can.
WHO WE ARE: We are a woman owned farm, ran by a husband and wife. Dotty and Kevin are the dynamic duo when it comes to taking care of animals. Their passion for the animal world is what drives them.
WHAT WE OFFER: Along with seasonal produce, we offer walking tours of the farm. Our half mile gravel path is perfect for viewing the animals. We also offer a space in our main barn yard to hold private events. The farm will also host special events throughout the year like Fall Fest.
FARM HISTORY: Dotty and Kevin have lived on the property for 33 years. They started their journey in a small home on the West side of their property. Just over 2 years ago, they built a new home on the East side of the property. That's when the crayzee began. Dotty started with chickens, then chicken math lead her to Emu. Now the farm is home to many different kinds of animals including Kangaroo, and Coatimundi.
WHERE DO THESE ANIMALS COME FROM: Our livestock come from auctions where the animals would otherwise be processed for meat, or end up on a hunting preserve.
WHO CAN VISIT THE FARM: We welcome folks from all walks of life. We WILL NOT tolerate hate, or discrimination here on the farm.
That is just a little tidbit about us. We wanted to share this to ensure the community knows who we are and what we are about. For more info on us, and what we do you can pay us a visit on an Open Farm Day or visit our website for more info. Thank you for taking the time to check out this post :)
