Can anyone guess what I cooked up today? I will give you a hint it’s used to ease muscle aches and pains, aide in arthritic pain, sooty bug bites, and moisturize the skin!
We’ve got lots of okra! Good for stewing and some for frying. Shorter are good for frying longer are better for stewing. I can separate them based on what you’re wanting.

Had such a wonderful time at the craft market at yesterday for small business Saturday! I cannot wait for their next craft market it was so wonderful meeting everyone!

Oh my goodness! My first time making jelly and it is so good! And the beauty berry jelly is such a pretty bright pink color!
I have to say my favorite way I’ve had it so far is with a bagel with cream cheese!
And the build of our new cluckingham palace has begun! Framing of the main roost? ✔️
Next we frame the interior for a three bay system for our three breeding flocks. Trusses, roof, then exterior walls followed by the back run.
So relieved wood prices came back down so we could start this! 😅
Kale comes in many different varieties, a couple of my favorites are Red Russian Kale and Scarlet Kale for the beautiful hints of red in the stems and leaves. Not only do they give a beautiful pop of color to your salads and sandwiches, but they are loaded with additional vitamins and antioxidants.

It can get very hot here in Florida, so shade is essential for our chickens. If you start to notice your flock is slowing down or possibly even stopping in their egg production or laying it is likely caused by the heat, just like in the winter when the day light hours wane, the heat can also have an affect on egg production.
Give them an icy treat! Take a Tupperware, add a variety of seeds, scratch, corn, etc, fill it with water and freeze it. Set it out for your chickens to peck at and cool off!
If you don't know, we breed myotonic fainting goats, that's right! The iconic hilariously adorable goats that fall over when startled. We are excited for breeding season to begin here in a couple of months and are eagerly awaiting new babies to be born in the spring!
Here is one of our past cuddly babies, little Waffle, yes his name is waffle. He is living his life out on someone's farm enjoying his best life.
Man, I miss those baby goat snuggles.
We free-range our flock for a short period of a couple of hours during the day as we still are living off-site, but I am looking forward to the days when we are living on the farm and they can free range from sun up to sun down!
This is our chicken tractor where they are moved regularly so they have access to fresh ground routinely till that time comes.
I started a lot of seeds a week ago and am excitingly awaiting new seed packets to come in the mail. We started our Roma tomatoes for canning for ourselves as well as some for our farmer's market stand and they are growing beautifully in the garden right now.
We have numerous beautiful varieties started from seed awaiting for those to get big enough to transplant, I cannot wait to share all of the colorful heirloom varieties we will have in our garden soon!
Have you ever had fresh homemade granola? No preservatives simple clean ingredients, freshly made before the farmers market! We almost sold out at the farmer's market! We have options for chocolate lovers and non-chocolate lovers!
Red Russian Kale is not only delicious but beautiful in the garden! I love the delicate purplish-red stems and the curly leaves, outstanding in salads, on roast beef sandwiches, and in soups and pasta dishes!
Our baskets use to be a mix of blue, tan, and cream.
Now we are working on a basket of blues, tans, creams, olive greens, and chocolate browns!
Expanding and adding to our breeding flocks soon! In the near future, we will be offering more diverse beautiful breeds that lay beautiful richly colored eggs!
Eager to get our new asparagus and strawberry patch up and going, need to finish raising and preparing the bed as it currently floods in the area where they will be going, but we will fix that! Nothing like organic garden fresh strawberries and asparagus!
Our most popular item at the farmers market was easily this amazing rosemary salt that we make with fresh herbs from our garden fresh the day before the markets so you get to enjoy the fresh fragrant aromas and flavors at the peak right out of the garden!
Certain chicken breeds can be better foragers than others, For us out of our current flock we have noticed that our best foragers have been black australorps, as well as our splash ameracaunas.
As soon as we let them out of their coop, they go to town nipping at the blades of grass and w**ds around their run.

Asparagus is a perennial plant which means that once you plant it, it continues to come back every year! We are working on building a huge strawberry and asparagus bed in our garden to have all the organic strawberries and asparagus we could eat!

I didn't know how harmful artificial fragrances could be to our bodies. When I learned that a dear friend of mine was having difficulty conceiving and learned she had PCOS I started doing research to try to aid in her search for ways (in addition to what her fertility specialist was having her do) that we could help her improve her body's natural functions.

Our best foragers give us the most beautiful Irish deep orange yolks packed with more omega 3s, beta carotene, vitamin E, and vitamin A than store-bought eggs!
I used to use a store-bought all-purpose cleaner. That was until I read the warning label saying "not safe for food prep surfaces". It made me think, wait a minute, so I need to clean my cleaner off of my countertops before I can safely prepare any foods? Ummm. No thank you!
I have been using this non-toxic all-purpose cleaner solution that I have been modifying and perfecting over the last two years that not only sanitizes any surface in our house, but I'm not afraid of what the ingredients are and I know that they are safe for my family!
It was very popular at the Farmers & Makers Market this last weekend. I am working on logistics to launch an online store where I will be offering my non-toxic all-purpose cleaner to anyone who agrees that we shouldn't be worried about the cleaners we are using in our home.

Love our little bearded silkies, they are honestly the sweetest most docile breed of chicken I have ever had the pleasure of owning.
The leaves on our moon and stars watermelon vine were so pretty last year! Unfortunately, our entire garden flooded after 4 days of rain and we lost all of our plants, here is to praying for another lush garden in the coming months!
