TCRC Training Day 1-20-24

Happy New Year! Let's have some fun and train dogs!

IMPORTANT NOTICE - To provide you with the best training day setups we need to know how many dogs will be in attendance and the training level of the dogs attending. Therefore, TCRC has implemented a policy to help give an incentive for you to register in advance.

TCRC Policy: Pre-register to get the $5 Per Dog Rate. It’s $20 Per Dog if you show up without pre-registering first! You can still pay on the day of the event with Cash or Check if you choose, but you must still pre-register to get the $5 per dog rate.

Our next TCRC training day will be at Yellow Dog Ranch on Saturday, 1/20/2024 at 8:30 AM.

Our training setup will be designed to be flexible. If you want to run AKC style or HRC style that is perfectly fine. You can choose when you come to the line. Please bring your own poppers and duck call if you want to run HRC style.

Attendees are expected to take turns working the wingers and/or helping with set-up and tear-down for the day. If you’ve never done it before, it’s OK, we will show you what to do. It’s easy and gives you a new vantage point from the field that will help you to be a better handler!

Please remember that, due to liability insurance reasons for the landowner, you must be up to date on your 2024 membership to train your dog at the club training day.

Membership is $35/year for single membership (1 vote), and $45/year for family membership (2 votes). We have attached the membership form to this email. You can bring your form & fee with you to training. We will also have some forms available at the location on the training day.

As always, bring your own drinks, water for your dogs, snacks, chairs, umbrellas, etc. It may be warm.

Great seminar for Retrievers coming soon in South Florida.

It was so nice, we had to have it twice.

We have Clark Kennington coming down again for another seminar. This will be a Part 2 to last year’s seminar. But if you missed last year’s seminar, don’t worry. There will be so much to learn.

This seminar is for Advanced dogs. They MUST be at the transitional level between Senior & Master (or advanced).

The dates will be held January 29-31st. And will be held at Yellow Dog Ranch.

There are 12 dog handler spots.

Dog handler spots are priced at $500 to those whom are active members of BOTH the South Florida HRC Club & Treasure Coast Retriever Club.

This is a discounted price from the original price of $550 for non active club members.

Observer spots are priced at $250 for all 3 days or $100 per day. And there are unlimited spots.

www.TreasureCoastRetrieverClub.com has been updated. It is currently only optimized for Laptop / Desktop sized screens but there is some good information about the club so I thought it should be shared. Training Dates will be announced on the site soon and the info about the AKC Events we are hosting is current. Can you believe our first Owner/Handler Qual is only 4 months away? It's time to get ready! I am working on optimizing for Mobile and Tablets. Please be patient!

We can’t wait to see everyone.

Our first training date is coming up Saturday May 13th.

This will be a MOCK HUNT TEST. So you know where your dog and you are at for the summer sessions.

You MUST be a SFHRC member to join our training days!
