Dogs I work with enjoy visits & learn taping/posting does not involve fear or pain. Hello! My name is Kat, and I've been working with post surgical ear crop care for more than a decade. In that time I've helped hundreds of pups on their way to beautiful ears. As of January 2023 I am relocating to the Seattle area and I will be licensed as a Veterinary Technician in the State of Washington soon. I

am also a Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Oklahoma with significant medical knowledge in many areas of Veterinary Medicine. I take pride in making sure that dogs I work with enjoy my visits and learn to tolerate taping/posting without fear or pain of any kind. I primarily work with Dobermans, but have experience working with many cropped and uncropped breeds to help ensure the ear shape and set is correct. Breeds I have experience with include (but are not limited to) Doberman, Boxer, Rottweiler, Yorkie, Miniature, Standard and Giant Schnauzer, Great Dane, Miniature Pinscher, German Pinscher, Briard, Australian Shepherd, German Shepherd, Malinois, French Bulldog, Boston Terrier, Bully, Pitbull, and Cane Corso.

Hiking Hounds:
This 4 week class is designed to get you and your dog ready to hit the trail!

Skills you will learn are:
Leash skills (not being dragged!)
Recalls
Trail etiquette
Leave it
Stay
Trail safety
Basic First aid
Conditioning your dog (and you!)

The first 3 classes are held at a local park and the last class will be on a hiking trail locally. Those locations will be emailed to you a week before class starts.

Pre-requisites: You dog have taken Basic Manners or already knows beginner obedience. Dog must be comfortable around other dogs and people.
Class is $200.00 for 4 weeks.

Upcoming Dates:
Sunday, Feb 26th 1p thru March 19th
Saturday, April 1st 2:30pm - April 29th (No class April 22nd)

This is an "all weather class" - We will hiking unless there is storms, lightning, below 35 degrees or over 95 degrees. We recommend flea and tick prevention on dogs and proper attire for owners.

This little darling unfortunately has had her ear edges contracting significantly near the bases as they healed, so we are hoping to be able to stretch them out some and end up with a nice even (or nearly even) finished product. 🐾💛
