This is something that I've been wanting to do for awhile now and with finally move our website ( KHKRabbitToys.com ) over to shopify instead of square I can finally do this!!!

As you may have noticed I’ve been missing in action (as far as advertising my handmade rabbit toys) for the last several weeks. Unfortunately early-mid February I came down with some type of upper respiratory illness that absolutely drained me physically so I decided to take some time off and prioritize getting better! Hopefully everyone can understand my decision. However, now I’m fully back to working hard on my rabbit toys and providing high quality, long lasting chews to my customers!

We are a small family owned and operated small animal chew toy company based out of Oklahoma USA (originally founded in California). As a young (20 year old) business owner I personally believe it is important to make customers aware of common misconceptions and such! Honesty and transparency is key!
Some may ask why do rabbits need toys; the simple answer is toys are very beneficial to rabbits like how toys are beneficial to toddlers! Toys encourage rabbits to perform natural behaviors such as chewing, tossing and chin rubbing! We have a variety of toys; however most of our toys feature at least one of the following: all organic kiln dried pine, apple oat biscuits, and sisal rope.
It is important to note that some toys advertised as rabbit toys in big retailers (such as petsmart/petco) truly may not be safe for your buns! Here are some things that are NOT safe for rabbits that you should keep an eye out for seeds and pits (your rabbit can't digest them properly), yogurt drops (or other items that contain a high amount of diary), corn & corn husks, walnuts, peanuts, almonds (these nuts & other nuts contain high fat content and can be harmful to your rabbit if it digests too much). It's also important to note that food treats should ALWAYS be in moderation.
Please note our toys are not excluded from any of these safety concerns here are a few things to keep in mind while purchasing our toys! We do have plastic and metal pieces on most of our toys; while these aren’t a huge concern to a rabbits safety we do encourage our customers that if they notice any severe damage to the cat ball, or linkable rings we ask you to take away the toy temporarily or disconnect the damaged piece from the toy. Just as any dog or cat toy toys can become damaged making them unsafe for the animal.
Our shop does offer an “all natural” section that features objects that consist 100% of safely digestible items for rabbits.

You've asked and we have delivered yet again! During these past few weeks we have received multiple questions about our shipping cost along with our website showing free shipping then giving customers our standard flat rate shipping fees when they went to checkout. We've had to let customers know that unfortunately this is a glitch in our website and at that time we did not offer free shipping.

After much thought we have and number crunching we have some exciting news to share with you!

We are now excited to announce that any order above $70 will qualify for free shipping (anywhere in the USA). Please note your order total must be a MINMUM of $70 AFTER coupons and discounts. *This is also a test that we are running; this may not last for long depending on several factors; so take advantage while you can*.

Below is some more information on how I came up with our free shipping minimum order value along with what goes into packaging our toys, toy values, and some costs that I feel comfortably releasing to give more insight of this certain topic.

You maybe asking yourself while out free shipping minimum is set so high. While I can understand that this maybe frustrating to some it's important to keep in mind our toys consists of 100% SOLID wood. Wood is not light weight and unfortunately in the shipping industry weight is one of the factors that shipping expense is calculated on; we also take pride in our packaging and most of our orders are bubble wrapped, boxed in non-flimsy boxes, and air cushioned if needed. All of these costs add ontop of our shipping costs which makes it expensive however to us its always important to make sure our packages arrive securely and non-damaged. (In the history of shipping over 400 packages we have yet to receive any complaint of a damaged package or toys).

So currently we have decided that $70 is a fair rate to set the free shipping option at. This equivales to customers saving $10 in a shipping fee and us paying around $12 on average (even higher for larger $ orders) out of pocket to ship these orders. Currently our business focus is solely to provide long lasting quality chew toys at a relatively low cost to our consumers. We often offer bulk rates on toys (which saves customers up to 15% off if they buy 20 of the same toy). This discount also stacks with any coupon codes we currently have running (typically I try to do AT LEAST 1 20% to 25% off sale each month for about a week to week and half). So while our toy costs may look slightly more expensive at first glance once you factor in our sales and our toys generally lasting much longer then our competitors you're really saving money in the long run. While I'm focusing on providing long lasting quality toys this makes materials fairly expensive along with it being very labor extensive. For me to make a variety bundle it takes me just over an hour. So we have to take into account our material expense along with our labor to make sure that while we're offering free shipping and other discounts we're not cutting our self short either.

These few last week everyone's support truly blew me away. We received a total of 18 orders over the course of the last 2 weeks; the remainder of outstanding orders will be shipped out on Monday (8/26)! While this support truly blows me away and helps us as a small business its the continued support that truly matters and allows us to stay open as we do have a monthly website service fee along with other fees. I am the owner of KHKRabbitToys.com. on providing small animals enrichment toys at a low cost! We are a small family owned and operated small animal chew toy company based out of Oklahoma USA (originally founded in California). As a young (20 year old) business owner I personally believe it is important to make customers aware of common misconceptions and such! Honesty and transparency is key!

Some may ask why do rabbits need toys; the simple answer is toys are very beneficial to rabbits like how toys are beneficial to toddlers! Toys encourage rabbits to perform natural behaviors such as chewing, tossing and chin rubbing! We have a variety of toys; however most of our toys feature at least one of the following: all organic kiln dried pine, apple oat biscuits, and sisal rope.

It is important to note that some toys advertised as rabbit toys in big retailers (such as petsmart/petco) truly may not be safe for your buns! Here are some things that are NOT safe for rabbits that you should keep an eye out for seeds and pits (your rabbit can't digest them properly), yogurt drops (or other items that contain a high amount of diary), corn & corn husks, walnuts, peanuts, almonds (these nuts & other nuts contain high fat content and can be harmful to your rabbit if it digests too much). It's also important to note that food treats should ALWAYS be in moderation.
Please note our toys are not excluded from any of these safety concerns here are a few things to keep in mind while purchasing our toys! We do have plastic and metal pieces on most of our toys; while these aren’t a huge concern to a rabbits safety we do encourage our customers that if they notice any severe damage to the cat ball, or linkable rings we ask you to take away the toy temporarily or disconnect the damaged piece from the toy. Just as any dog or cat toy toys can become damaged making them unsafe for the animal.

Our shop does offer an “all natural” section that features objects that consist 100% of safely digestible items for rabbits.
