We want your pup to always be comfortable when boarding. We do slow introductions and work at your dogs speed and comfort.
FAQ: How do you introduce dogs to each other?
Answer: When a new member joins our pack, we introduce them to our pack, very slowly, one at a time. We let the dogs tell us if they’re comfortable or not. If they are comfortable, we’ll introduce another pup. If they’re feeling overwhelmed or discontent, we give them a break. We take it at their speed. Some dogs are confident enough to meet and play with everyone right away, some are capable of making only one new friend a week. There are even those who prefer to only have human friends. We truly do our best to cater to every dog, so that they have the best experience possible!
We do NOT do dog introductions with owners present, because dogs will behave differently when their owners are around. When the owner is present, dogs feel a stronger need to protect their owner, and in a new environment, that’s not the mind set we want them in.
Another step we take, when we notice two or so dogs REALLY get along well at daycare… we tell the owners and try to continue matching up their play dates together! This way, their pup gets to see their best friends at daycare!
