Meet Sampson, Sammy for short! Sammy is a 4 month old 30 pound Husky Mix. Sammy is such a great boy! This husky boy has so much to offer and is looking for his forever family🩵

Sammy is a friendly guy, still a little timid about meeting new people, but he loves kids! He is good with other dogs but we are unsure of how he is with cats. This handsome boy is kennel trained and is doing great with his house training! A regular food and water routine has helped him with his kennel and house training.

He isn't a big fan of leashes and will need a person or family that can help him keep learning to become comfortable with a leash. Sammy is your typical playful pup and enjoys being outside. He would do best in a home with a yard! He also has a snuggly side when he is comfortable with you and enjoys belly rubs!

We had Sammy's DNA tested and he is 59% Siberian Husky, 8% Chow Chow, 8% Labrador Retriever, 5% American Pitbull, 5% Australian Cattle Dog, and some others!

If you're interested in meeting Sammy, please fill out the application below or email our director of adoptions at [email protected]

This is Kovi. She was adopted from us as a kitten in 2022 and she has been returned to us after developing a condition known as pillow foot💔

Pillow foot affects the pads of the feet, causing pain and swelling, and her adopter did not feel that they could manage her care. She came back to us covered in fleas and while her feet looked okay for now, she needed immediate vet care.

This condition can be managed with medication and we’re hopeful she starts to feel better soon. Once she is better, she’ll be looking for her true forever family❤️‍🩹

We need your help to give her the care she needs and deserves. Please consider helping sweet Kovi.

He likes to follow you around the house and hang out with you while you watch TV. Smokey knows how to sit and does well sitting waiting for his food. He is house trained, kennel trained and does well on a leash!

Smokey is good with other dogs and likes to play with them! He can get super excited and forget his size at times. He does well with inside cats! Outside cats are a bit more exciting to him and will likely chase them. He is a friendly boy, likes people, and would do well with older children.

Update for the little lady saved from the euthanasia list!

She was picked up by her foster family and has a new name, Vanjie! She is getting the decompression time she needs and her foster family is giving her time and space to get comfortable with a new family and environment. She is still timid and shy but loves to be picked up and held, clearly craving human affection!

Welcome to the Misfits, little lady💗

Johnny’s wish for 2025 is to find his forever home! Johnny is a possible Great Dane/Lab mix, around 9-10 months old and 65 pounds. He can’t wait to find his family💙

This sweet guy was found as a stray by Lake Hefner with his sister June (also adoptable) when they were just small puppies. They have received all of the vet care they need and have grown into such great doggies!

Johnny is house and crate trained. He does okay on the leash. He knows how to sit and is currently learning how to fetch! He loves being in the backyard chasing the squirrels and telling the birds to get off his town.

He is a sweet boy, but, like most dogs he does take a minute to warm up to new people and dogs. He would do great as an only dog or a non dominant dog friend. He loves going on walks, cuddle with his people, and get back and belly rubs. Johnny does resource guard but does well eating in his kennel.

If you’re interested in Johnny joining your family, please fill out the application below or email our director of adoptions at [email protected]

💢 On the euthanasia list for today - Help us save her 💢

This small lady found herself at our local shelter and due to incredible overcrowding and overpopulation in our area, she was the euthanasia list for today. We're not sure of her full story but her time was up at 2pm. We were able to save her with less than 30 minutes to spare but now she needs YOU!

💟 Donate to help her get the care she needs to start her journey to healing. Every donation helps!

It takes real dollars to save little lives like hers. We are 100% donation funded and every donation matters!

She will need time to decompress and learn to trust new people. She will get to go to her foster home today and leave the shelter behind.

We are incredibly grateful to the shelter staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to try to give every animal that comes through the doors the chance they deserve day after day. We're so thankful for all they do. ❤

Meet Freddy! One of the three puppies still left looking for their forever families! Freddy is 3 months old and around 12 pounds. We believe he will be a bigger dog weighing close to 50 lbs.

One of the pups was DNA tested and we found out that they are 29% Chow, 18% Husky, 17% Pitbull, 11% American Staffordshire Terrier, 10% Alaskan Malamute, and a bunch of others! No matter his breed, Freddy is a cutie💙

This guy is happy, sweet, and smart! Freddy is all things puppy and will need a family that understands that he is still learning. He is good around other dogs and has been exposed to cats and has done well so far. He has not been around children but we believe he would do well with them as long as they know to respect their doggie friends.

He has started to individually crate train and has done well! If you think Freddy would be a good match for your family, please fill out the link below or email or director of adoptions at [email protected]

Aurora update - Donate to reach her goal for surgery ‼️

This sweet girl is in her foster home and enjoying the happy puppy life. The scalding on her skin has improved a lot and she is on antibiotics to keep any infections at bay ahead of her surgery.

Her surgery is scheduled for Jan. 7. and has an estimated cost of $2,000-2,800. Her initial vet care totals $453 (invoices in comments). $1,887 has been donated to her care so far. We had a generous supporter donate another $500, putting us at $2,387! She'll also need all her shots, routine care, and spay after she heals.

After accounting for her initial care, that means we need $866 to hit our goal of $2,800 for her surgery. Can you help us get there? 🙏

She has a congenital condition where her colon did not properly connect to her back end and connected to her reproductive tract instead. Her procedure will create an a**s, connect her colon to it, and close the connection her colon made to her reproductive organs. There is a risk she may be f***l incontinent following surgery, but we have known many dogs to live happy, healthy lives despite that small set back.

❤Please keep this little girl in your thoughts and prayers and share her post. It helps so much!

We can’t believe Josie hasn’t been adopted yet! She is the cutest 3 month old, 12 pound, likely shepherd mix puppy💗

Josie may be around 50lbs when fully grown. She is sweet, smart, and the perfect puppy! She is good around other dogs and has been exposed to cats and she did well with them. She has not been around children but would most likely do well around children who know to respect their doggie friends!

She has started to individually crate train and is doing good. She will need a family who understands that she is still a puppy who needs time to adjust and learn.

Frankie is still searching for a family that will love her endlessly❤️ Frankie is a 1 year old 5 pound Yorkie and she has a condition called megaesophagus, but that doesn’t let that slow her down! She has a big personality that lights up a room.

Frankie came to us at 3 months old when her owners felt they could no longer provide the care she needed with her condition. She was born with megaesophagus (her esophagus is enlarged, making it hard for food to pass easily to her stomach), so he has a special diet and feeding regimen, but is well managed when strictly followed.

Frankie is handfed slightly watered down canned food in a chair and has to sit up for 25 minutes after eating to avoid regurgitation. Total time for her meals, start to finish, is about 40 minutes. During her upright time, she enjoys broth ice cubes because she cannot have water. Her favorite treats are Ge**er Puffs, and they don’t cause issues because they dissolve easily. She also requires lifetime meds, 2 prescription and one over the counter, to help with her condition. The estimated monthly cost of these meds is $150. Additionally, she has to wear a neck donut at all times.

Frankie lives with foster dogs of all sizes and gives everyone a run for their money. She can be a bit spicy with other dogs, but nothing more than a typical small dog with a big personality. However, she will need a laid back and understanding fur-sibling if she has any. She would do best in a home with dogs her size. She pays no attention to the cats in her foster home. Due to her spicy personality and food restrictions, Frankie is best in a home without children.

Help us give a rainbow crossing to our TJ 🌈

Most pets come to us in need of care and are able to complete their healing journey and find their forever families, and some are like TJ.

TJ came to us 2.5 years ago from a hoarding situation. He was wild and hard to catch and clearly had not had much positive human interaction. We got him the medical care he needed but helping him recover emotionally and learn to trust people would be a long road.

His foster mom has given him what he needed these last 2.5 years, time, patience, and understanding, loving him in the way he needed. He hadn't progressed to a place where he was ready to find a forever family but that was okay.

Over the last several weeks he had lost his appetite and was losing weight. We began to narrow down what could be the issue. He is likely around 8 or 9 years old and our final diagnostics determined that he had congestive heart failure, which can be managed with medications, but also tumors on his spleen, advanced enough to be at risk of rupture and not a good candidate for surgery. 😭

TJ was hurting and we knew keeping him at risk of a traumatic medical event like that was not what we would want for any pet. We made the heartbreaking decision to help him cross the rainbow bridge early Monday evening.

Please considering donating to help cover his final expenses and let his ashes be returned to his foster mom who never gave up on him.🙏

We joked that he had the personality only a mother could love. He notoriously gave the vet team a hard time each clinic visit. TJ was our grumpy, old man who we will miss dearly. Run free, grouchy boy. ❤

Frankie is wishing everyone a Merry Christmas Eve and wanted to let you know he is still on the lookout for his forever family👀❤️

Frankie is around 3 months old, 12 pounds, and is likely a shepherd mix! We expect him to be a bigger dog and may weigh 50+ lbs when fully grown. Frankie is so smart, sweet, and laid back! He and one of his sisters are the ring leaders of the group. He is good around other dogs and has been exposed to cats and has done well.

He would do best in a home with cats that are accustomed to dogs and know how to assert their boundaries. He has not been around children but would likely do well with children who know how to be respectful to their doggie friends!

He has started individual crate training and is doing so well! He is all things puppy and will need a home that will give him patience and love to adjust and learn. He is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

If you would like to add Frankie to your family, please fill out the adoption application through the link below or email our director of adoptions at [email protected]

Sophie Pupdate🐶❤️

We are happy to say that Sophie is doing so well in her forever home! She is learning so much and is really coming out of her shell. She likes to go on car rides, and “walks” (backpack rides), and learned how to use her new doggy door! We are just so proud of her!

If you didn’t follow Sophie’s journey, she came to us from a breeder and spent the first 6 years of her life confined to a small space, hardly ever getting out to learn potty training, likely never getting human affection, and just not knowing anything that resembled a typical family’s dog’s life. Such a transformation this girl has had❤️

We are so excited to announce that Betty and Margot have found their forever homes just in time for the Holidays❤️
