Our Tulip Bulbs are 6 weeks old today! It’s been so amazing seeing this little family grow together. Squeak was the first to leave the group at 4-weeks old and developed a strong bond with one of our senior alums here in Piggy HQ. Apollo had taken quite a liking to baby Squeak, so Squeak has become a permanent member of the rescue herd. Welcome aboard, Squeak! ❤️

Zucchini is ready to find his forever home! Zucch is a 1-year old boy who would love a male companion and a loving home to help coax him out of his shell. He spends most of his time hiding in beds and houses, but comes out of hiding when humans are away to chat with his piggy neighbors. When he is forced to cuddle, he has a very charming demeanor and will eventually relax with some pets and treats. Zucchini would appreciate a patient pet-parent who will continue to encourage him to let his guard down.

He does have an old injury to the membrane around his eye where he was bitten by a piggy he was paired with in the past, but it doesn’t bother him and doesn’t need any extra care or attention.

♥️This sweet piggy is looking for his forever home! While he is not *officially* with our rescue and still with his current pet parent, we are doing what we can to help this school teacher and her piggy out.♥️

“Felix is a soft-hearted little piggy in search of a forever home 💛 I rescued him a few years ago from a rough situation, and he’s truly blossomed into the sweetest, most peaceful companion. We’re not sure exactly how old he is, but he’s still spry and full of love, especially when carrots or lettuce are involved! He’s a quiet, gentle soul who doesn’t mind being around respectful kids. He’s even visited the classroom before and was a total hit, just vibing while the kids learned around him.

Losing a beloved pet is devastating, losing two is twice as hard. 🌈

Brownie & Ginger left paw prints on their family’s heart when they passed away, and in their memory, their family donated lots of food & supplies to our rescue. It’s clear these girls were loved beyond measure, and our foster critters will cherish these gifts!

This sweet shy-guy is Zucchini!

Zucchini is about a year old and recently joined our rescue herd. He has a very charming demeanor and is slowly warming up to us with some treats and encouragement. We’re going to give him some time to decompress before he’s ready for adoption, but keep an eye on our page for a chance to adopt Zucchini!

Now that our boy Squeak has passed the 4-week mark, he’s been separated from Tulip & Pip. It’s been rough on the little guy! The screams for mom are heartbreaking to hear, but it’s necessary to prevent anymore unwanted pregnancies. This time is also crucial for males to learn social skills from other male guinea pigs.

We decided to introduce Squeak to one of our senior APR Alums, Apollo, and it went pretty well! Even if they don’t feel like staying friends, the social interaction is good for both of these guys. ♥️
