Eeeeep! Exciting new item coming to market!

Our Oklahoma Chile Pepper Salt combines raw Anaheim chiles—grown on our farm here in the Sooner State—with simple salt. The peppers add a mild, earthy heat with notes of green chile freshness, making it a straightforward seasoning for grilling, roasting veggies, or everyday cooking. Our raw Oklahoma Chiles have been popular with customers at the market this season, so we’ve turned them into this salt to let folks enjoy them in more ways. We keep it natural, just like everything else we grow.

Ways to use it - try sprinkling it on fresh salads, seasoning steamed vegetables or grilled lean proteins like chicken or fish, adding to homemade dressings, or enhancing popcorn as a light snack.

We will have the first batch ready for next market - Saturday, September 6th!

Life is crazy.

Our life is quite an adventure and I would not change a thing. These two (+ the little one) are always there reminding us of our why.

After a day full of planting, harvesting, school pick-up (iykyk), a quick ice cream break at , and arranging bouquets, the boys asked to make their own bouquet. They hand selected their stems and worked together to arrange them just right.

I asked if they wanted me to wrap it and take it to market - they will be there tomorrow, running the check out stand. They said no and asked if we could put them on the table instead because we need fresh flowers too.

A lovely, daily reminder to savor every moment and enjoy the blooms too.

See you tomorrow at the market! Our whole crew will be there! Might be crazy, who knows!

After market, we (H) loaded up the tractor to get some work done at the new farm.

We brought veggies and flowers to our neighbors to the south and the north. Everyone out here is pretty dang awesome and it already feels like coming home (sans the house 🤣… but we did get our well drilled and electric is coming soon.

Earlier today, one of our long time customers stopped by to pick up flowers at the farm. She texted me after she left that her week was tough and flowers bring her happiness.

Bringing joy with flowers gives me all the feels.

Over the last five years we have made so many connections with folks through our blooms. Flowers are there for every event - from the big celebrations to the loss of a loved one. They lessen the load, elevate the occasion, or simply make you smile when you’d rather not.

Thank you for allowing us to be a little part of your lives through our blooms, we honestly did not know how special growing flowers would become.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Yikes! We have lots of Cedar trees on our new farm. We do not want them— they drink a lot of water and burn quickly. As we work to remove them as quickly as possible, we will reuse the trunks to make fence posts in our perennial gardens and mulch the rest for w**d suppression.

🧄 Red Chesnok Garlic – Grown & Adapted in Central Oklahoma 🧄

Red Chesnok is a hardneck garlic variety known for its rich, bold flavor and easy-to-peel cloves. For the past four seasons, we’ve carefully selected and replanted only the best bulbs, allowing this garlic to fully acclimate to our Central Oklahoma climate. The result is a hardy, reliable crop that thrives in local conditions and produces high-quality bulbs year after year.

Seasonal Garlic Offerings

🌿 Garlic Scapes – May
The curly, tender shoots of hardneck garlic plants, scapes have a mild garlic flavor and are great for making pesto, stir-fries, or grilling.

🧄 Fresh Garlic – June
Pulled straight from the ground before curing, fresh garlic has a juicy texture and a slightly milder taste than dried bulbs.

🖤 Black Garlic – June
Aged through a slow fermentation process, black garlic develops a soft, almost jam-like texture with a deep, sweet, umami-rich flavor. It’s high in antioxidants, supports immune health, and has anti-inflammatory properties. It can be used in sauces, spreads, dressings, or eaten on its own.

🌱 Seed Garlic – Available in October
For those wanting to grow their own garlic, we’ll have locally adapted Red Chesnok bulbs ready for planting this fall.

We’re excited to be starting our sixth season at the Farmers Market at Scissortail Park and can’t wait to see everyone soon!

Garlic is delicious, but black garlic is positively delectable. Our hardneck garlic is planted in November, harvested in June, dry cured, and then goes through a dry fermentation process resulting in this wonderful treat. The cloves soften to almost a paste while the “heat” dissipates and is replaced with an incredible savory umami flavor. Not only does black garlic boast a unique flavor profile, but it has some fancy health benefits as well!

H made this black garlic butter (last photo) that will go on top of a steak this evening. One clove + 1/4 c of salted butter.

We will have it at every Saturday through the end of October.
