Agreed in advance, obsession! Through no fault of my own - other than ability to say no, I’ve added raising canaries. So different than my other birds. Extremely entertaining- I mean it’s like watching pretty tiny robins foraging for nest materials and food for babies while they reach up and beg. PLUS they sing! Incredibly pleasant. Beautiful colors!

An old passion finally coming to fruition as I’ve been able to put together a good group of exotic doves for breeding this spring. Have 9 triangles spotted doves, 4 pair of Australian crested doves and a few gorgeous green wing doves (now on two eggs!). Have been busy building new aviaries a couple pictured plus two new round ones like my others with satellite dish roofs under construction.

Drove across country to get silkie ringneck doves - from Oklahoma to Louisville ky to national young bird show. Got some beautiful birds to breed. Hoping to have babies available by summer. They have the softest feathering and are very docile. Generally bred to normal feathered birds as double silky genes creates not well feathered birds.
