⏳🐾 In the time it takes you to listen to your favorite song 🎶 or brew your morning coffee ☕, our kennels filled up this morning. 💔

Our doors opened at 9:00 AM, and by 9:04 AM, we had already reached our daily intake limit for dogs. This is a reminder that a shelter alone is not the solution to our city’s pet overpopulation. We need everyone to help create change.

🐶 If your pet isn’t spayed or neutered, their future litters are your responsibility. Pets aren’t toys that can be swapped out for a new one—they are living beings who depend entirely on you.

💡 You can help! Talk to your neighbors, friends, and family. Let them know:
✅ All dogs must be confined for their safety and our community’s well-being.
✅ Spaying and neutering prevents more pets from ending up homeless.

We’re here because we believe in you. We believe our city cares, and together, we can make a difference for pets and people. ❤️🐾

🚽 Housebroken? Yep! He’s got the potty routine down.

"Luna is a very sweet young lady with so much to offer her forever family. A little timid at first, it takes a moment to earn her trust and experience the perfect balance of snuggle and adventure!

• Calm, gentle and affectionate
• Food motivated
• Walks politely on leash
• Passes people and dogs quietly
• Barked once at runners passing by us
• High prey drive with birds and bunnies
• Traveled quietly in the car and as with many puppies, Luna did suffer with car sickness on each short journey.
• As a 10 month puppy, Luna is looking for a family who can give her guidance and confidence.

Luna gets a gold star for being a fantastic little companion during our flash foster fun. I imagine she will be the perfect missing piece of the puzzle for almost any family."

Bernie is a gentle giant with a heart as big as his paws — and trust us, those paws are HUGE. This handsome hunk is busting out of the kennels (literally...this big guy is feeling cramped!) and dreaming of a home!

Bernie’s been waiting patiently, but he’s not built for kennel life — this big guy needs space to stretch out, soak up the sunshine, and finally feel what it’s like to be someone’s everything.

🆘Cassius desperately needs to get adopted or to hang out in a foster home to help him get adopted.
Kennel life is just too much for him!

Cassius is a 10/10 Good Boy who's struggling in the shelter but absolutely thrives outside the kennel.
When you first meet him, he comes out with lots of energy (can you blame him?) — but once he gets a little time to stretch his legs, he settles into the gentle, well-behaved boy he truly is. On walks, he’s polite, loving, and so eager to please.

This amazing dog just needs a chance to show who he really is — outside of these walls. He is housebroken, good with cats, small children and other dogs!! What else could you ask for in a dog?!

She’s got a happy, vocal personality and loves to chat with her people—whether it’s joyful barks or adorable little noises to get your attention.

Our amazing vet team is looking for two extra-large, ultra-strong double door wire dog crates with divider panels to help with medical checkups for pets who may be a little nervous 😟—because every pet deserves care, even if they're just scared in a new environment. 🐕💙

Ramsey had fun out on a ✨Flash Foster✨ Saturday! Here is what they said about their time together 🗣:

"Ramsey is a chill gentleman! We went out on a flash foster date to Chick-Fil-A and PetSmart, and he was such a good boy! He did great riding in the car and was very happy eating his chicken nuggies. Then we went to Petsmart, where he was so well-behaved and nice with every person he met! He did great around all the other dogs there, and he enjoyed getting attention and pets from the humans! He walks very politely on a leash and doesn’t pull. And he did not bark once the entire time I had him! What a good dog!

Ramsey is a sweet, calm, and gentle dude. He is listed as 3 years old, but I think he could be older. He is a German Shepherd mix, with the blue eye of a Husky ☺️. He is going to make a wonderful pet for anyone looking for an older, laid back, easy dog!"

Let us introduce ya to Farmer Joe, a dog with a coat shinier than a polished plow. This here fella is as friendly as a spring day, always waggin' his tail and ready for a little chat or a good ol' romp in the pasture. He walks like a seasoned cowboy on a leash -- no tuggin' or pullin', just good, steady strides. Farmer Joe is also great with the other critters 'round here, and he's got a soft spot for the young'uns - kids also love him!
