We’ve got a little pup-date… and a correction! 🐾👀

Turns out, we may have accidentally called Ronnie an Alaskan Malamute when he’s actually a Siberian Husky—oops! Fun fact: Malamutes don’t have the gene for blue eyes, but Ronnie’s stunning blue and brown gave away his true husky roots.

But the best part? Ronnie has been adopted! 🎉 He’s off to his forever home, where he’ll be loved, spoiled, and (we assume) continue to be his talkative, playful self.

OK Humane microchips are not impacted by the recent closure of the microchip company, Save This Life. The Oklahoma Humane Society registers our microchips with 24PetWatch. For those who adopted a pet with a different rescue or shelter, we recommend checking on your pet’s microchip to see what company your pet is registered with. Many microchip companies allow any brand of microchip to be registered with them. Your pet’s microchip information can often be found via an email upon adoption or in adoption paperwork. If you do not know your pet’s microchip number, you can take them to your local vet to be scanned and re-register their microchip with a company that’s right for you. You will need the microchip number and your personal information to set up their microchip with an online company. Many companies offer this service for free. As always, please make sure all your information is up-to-date on your pet’s microchip account.
