Early neurological stimulation is done with each and every puppy. This is the earliest phase of puppy culture. β€οΈπΎ

Keeping the mind active is important. Helps to give them a positive outlet to use that energy and drive. β€οΈπΎ
We don't say anything until we hear the puppy cry and then we call the puppy to us and then reward with love first to build security/confidence and then a treat to reinforce. Also helps build a solid foundation for a good recall. π

We've moved to a new location. If you find that you are curious about my puppies please send me your email and I will send you information I do not post things publicly here on Facebook.
Kinda how we made our potty area π
We finished their new potty area. Love the fact that it's contained. They can't eat the pellets with this method either (one of the reasons why I've never used them) so we don't have to worry about that now. π
We start really early over here on nails with a Dremel and touching mouth, teeth, and ears.
New Textiles and a shallow water dish introduced today. Already using their potty trays π

Manding
Babies are learning to sit as a group and not jump up to communicate. There is no correction for jumping just rewarding the behavior we wish to see. That's called capturing. Manding practice is working ;)
Resource Guarding
Today we did resource guarding with MEAT!! You can tell that over the course of a few interactions he starts to understand that when he approaches the bowl that he can expect human interference with the very yummy he wants from the bowl. He even looks at the bowl and then looks up at me. I didn't give it to him right away I made sure he was deliberately asking.
At the end when I offered the bowl and not the food while petting him, you can see in his posture how uncomfortable he was at first being touched while chewing but then accepted it a few short seconds later.
We will be doing this off and on the next few days.
Note too how gentle he is when taking food from my hand.
Sleeping soundly
What a sweet sight. ππΎπΆ
