Celeste is a 3 1/2 month old playful pup! She is the perfect combination between getting affection and playtime! Celeste is doing great on leash training. She flashes the biggest, most heartwarming smile and has the cutest little white dot on the top of her head. She seems to enjoy posing for the camera. 📸

Yesterday was a HUGE day!!! We managed to trap three dogs who are now out of the cold and safe at the Vet's office, Jasper got out of boarding and into a foster home, AND this happened from the Okmulgee Times Pet Calendar Contest Fundraiser!!! We thank all who participated in this fun event and we are truly overwhelmed with gratitude for this super cool idea and for all the support!!!

🎉We were also able to capture "White Claw" today!!!
She has been running with the Toller pack. She has already had puppies and we watched her get hooked-up with one black German Shepherd male and then another Red Toller male. Folks, it was like watching the Nature Channel, LOL!
👀We are positively overwhelmed that Toller Rescue Inc is willing to fund her spay and vaccinations too!!

🎉 We got mama dog!!!
Mama dog returned to the pack this morning and Trapper Hobbs was able to catch her in the large trap that has been lent to OCHS for this Toller project.
🌬OCHS team and Chella Crumpton, President of Vets for Pets spent hours in the cold wind trying to calm her down and figure out a way to get her safely out of the trap.
🐾In the end it was a large crate, big piece of cardboard, and being reunited with her puppy that did the trick!
Sam Richardson with Vets for Pets also came to the scene to help with the heavy trap door and load mama and puppy.
Mama and puppies will receive excellent Vet care while they wait to be transported in January.
🤩🥳 We are so thankful for our team, all the volunteers, and Toller Rescue Inc who have all made this mission possible!

🎉Three more Toller puppies pulled from the den!
🐾Two females and one male 🐾
Den is empty and all puppies are safe now in the Vet's care.
We saw mama dog and followed her all over the neighborhood. Our team will return this afternoon with new traps provided by Toller Rescue Inc in an attempt to capture her and hopefully a sibling or two 🤞🤞🤞

🎉We have been involved with a mammoth coordination project since Friday to help the Tollers on the loose!!!
With the help and assistance from so, so many, we mananged to capture one little Toller male last night and was able to get him to the Vet this morning.
‼️WE NEED MORE HELP ‼️
There is a pregnant Toller who hasn't been seen since Friday. OCHS team searched the area where all have been hanging for three hours yesterday, but could not find her. We are certain she has hunkered down somewhere to have her pups OR someone has taken her in. If you have any information on mama and/or pups please notify OCHS immediately! We want to get her and pups to the Vet to receive proper care and get them in the hands of Toller Rescue Inc. https://www.okmulgeehumane.org/

NOTE: If you have been feeding the Tollers, please place bowls around the trap. This will help us to catch the others. Many thanks to all who have been involved in the care of these babies!!!

UPDATE: We are working out a plan with an out-of-state rescue, local residents, Vets for Pets, and Dripping Springs Pet Hospital to trap these dogs, make sure they are well fed, and get them to safety!!! More info coming soon!

ATTENTION OKMULGEE‼️ SIX RED RETRIEVERS ON THE LOOSE!!!

While OCHS team was out and about today they discovered approximately six, 6 month old puppies running around the neighborhood around Shaudt's Funeral Home.

After speaking with Shaudt's Funeral Home and area neighbors, it seems these have been running around for awhile.

A kind neighbor has been feeding them on the porch and keeping them warm at night with an outside heater.

Our first optomistic plea is if you are missing these babies to please contact OCHS.

They are skiddish and not used to being around humans - even when food is involved.

These pics probably don't represent all six dogs, but we hear they all look very similiar.

We are a 501c3 non profit dog and cat rescue. Our animals are in foster homes only. We do not have a shelter. We rescue dogs and cats from the Okmulgee City Shelter where they will be euthanized if not claimed by a owner. We are not funded by anyone and depend on donations and fundraisers only. We educate the community on good healthy animal welfare.
