Hang in there kiddos❤️ it was a fun ride, we’re proud of you

sometimes the hardest lessons are also the best memories.

the bond between a 4-Her and their animal is second to none. they spend all year caring for it, working with it, taking it all over the country to shows. they become best friends, teach each other more life lessons than you can even count, and become teammates.

you load them in the trailer in the early spring and take them to every spring show you can find. win some, lose some. you learn what needs to be changed and then go home and work even harder for the next weekend. lots of blood, sweat, and tears goes into this. but you love every minute of it.

then this day comes. the worst of them all. it’s time to say goodbye to your project, teammate, and best friend. but you know it’s necessary. you’re an agriculturist and you are the future of agriculture after all. after you and your family have put your pal on the trailer and said goodbye, and the final tear has dried. you begin to think about your next teammate.

and you’d do it all over again.

I had the opportunity to work on a special case with the wonderful Jacks and have been looking forward to sharing his story. He was diagnosed with a fracture of the upper tarsal bone in his left hock— see the x-ray from 11 weeks post-diagnosis on the left, during which time he was on stall rest. Right after that x-ray was taken, we did 3 Magna Wave sessions per week at 15 minutes per session on a moderate to high setting for 4 weeks (a total of 12 sessions- 180 minutes). The repeat x-ray 30 days later showed a healed fracture (just above where the cursor is), and the attending veterinarian was surprised that it healed so quickly. I sent these images (without any context) to a “human” orthopedic surgeon who is a close friend of mine, not telling him how far apart the images were taken nor what the interventions were for healing. His reply: “It is definitely healed significantly in the 2nd picture— and for it to look that healed it must have *truly* healed because it takes time for bone to consolidate so clearly like that.” When I told him the time frame between the images he said, “Wow I’m impressed; that is much more healing than one would expect in a human bone in that amount of time.” Jacks’s owners only regret is that he didn’t think to try Magna Wave sooner!
