Are you passionate about dogs and looking for a rewarding job in a fun and dynamic environment? We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Dog Bathers!

**Position:** Dog Bather
**Location:** PPPS - Old Fort
**Salary:** Competitive hourly wage, with opportunities for tips and bonuses

**About Us:**
At Purrfectly Pampered Pet Spa, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality grooming services for our furry clients. Our mission is to ensure that every dog leaves our facility looking and feeling their best, while also enjoying the process.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Bathe & Dry dogs of all breeds and sizes, using the appropriate techniques and products.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of each dog during the bathing & drying process.
- Throughly dry each dog, ensuring comfort and complete dryness for the next process of grooming.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with dog owners regarding their pet’s needs and any special requests.

**Requirements:**
- Love for dogs and a strong understanding of canine behavior.
- Previous experience in dog bathing is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to handle dogs with varying temperaments and energy levels.
- Must be okay handling f***l matter and washing nether regions 💩
- Must be comfortable with the possibility of getting wet and, occasionally, nibbled (getting bit comes with the territory!).
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

**Purrfectly Pampered Pet Spa Family,**

I hope this message finds you all well. I wanted to take a moment to share some heartfelt updates regarding our reopening. As many of you know, we’ve been navigating some tough times, and I want to be transparent with you about our current situation.

My wonderful husband, Bradley, our go-to handyman, has been working tirelessly to keep us afloat financially. He’s juggling a long list of responsibilities, from managing our business's reopening in Old Fort to tackling our home’s never-ending "honey-do" list. His dedication and hard work mean everything to me and to our pet spa.

Unfortunately, Bradley will be traveling to Florida for a few weeks to ensure that we can continue paying our bills. Since breaking my leg I’ve face many challenges with my recovery. Bradley has went above and beyond to provide for us during the most challenging season of our lives. This means that all work on our shop will need to pause until he returns home around Christmas. Logistically, this is a nightmare, especially since we’re approaching our busiest time of year. We now anticipate that we won’t be able to reopen until January.

I want to express my deepest gratitude for all the donations and support we have received during this challenging time. It has truly made a difference. I am especially thankful for Bradley; without his efforts, none of this would be possible.

Please bear with us as we navigate this delay. We are doing everything we can to get back to serving you and your pets. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to me personally at 828-925-0535. I will do my best to respond, but please understand that I’m juggling quite a bit right now, so responses may take a little time.

🌟🛠️ Exciting News! 🛠️🌟

Thanks to the generous donations from so many of you, we are thrilled to share that we are in the process of rebuilding our front desk today! This marks the final major project we need to complete before we can move back into our big space.

Shout out to some local businesses for helping us with this.
- Katie McWeeney with Nanu Gallery for her hard work in securing funds & keeping us going.
- Vickie Strickland - Strickland Plumbing for her generous support and procurement of a hot water heater!
- Anita Warren - “Toby” her precious dog helped in procuring us a few cabinets to use in rebuilding the front desk! They rebuilt the doors for our use!
- Amy Davis - The Davis Foundation - we all know the amount of work Amy Davis has put into our community and she’s a blessing from above. I couldn’t have done anything without her. She continues to give me hope daily!

The journey over the past few months has been challenging, but we have overcome so much together. Your support has been a beacon of hope and motivation for us, reminding us of the incredible community we have. We can’t wait to welcome you all back to a refreshed and revitalized pet spa!

This year, as we gather with friends and family, we want to take a moment to reflect on the journey we’ve been through and express our deepest gratitude. After the devastation caused by Helene, we are simply thankful to be alive and able to celebrate this holiday with all of you.

Our pet spa has always been a place for joy, connection, and community, but this year, it has taken on an even deeper meaning. It has become a sanctuary where we can come together, share our stories, and support one another through thick and thin. We are so grateful for the unwavering support from each of you, which has helped us rebuild and strengthen our bonds.

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives and for trusting us with your beloved pets. Together, we’ve created a community that truly feels like family.

We poured our hearts into building new rooms and crafting a beautiful aesthetic that would make every dog feel special and pampered. After finally opening our doors in December, I thought all my dreams had come true. But then came September 27, 2024, when Helene swept through and took so much of what we had built down the Catawba River. It’s been a challenging time, and I’m not sure things will ever be the same.
