Please note that when we reschedule your appointments due to excessive salon heat it’s 100% for the safety of your pets. If we reach 85° we have to shut it down. Today by 11am we had met the 85° mark. We are working hard to resolve our air issues after hurricane Helene, but know your pets safety means everything to us! They are our babies too 🫶🏻

PLEASE be mindful of all your pets in this intense heat! What you think is OK as far as shelter and water, may not be the case. Let's keep our animals from suffering and dying during this heat wave.

Henry Hiker has been seen hiking in the Wilson Creek Wilderness Area along the Mountains to Sea Trail. Hikers who have met him say he’s headed toward Old Fort and will arrive on Thursday just in time for the Trails & Trains Festival 2025! We know all of you are looking forward to finding him during the festival’s Henry Hiker Scavenger Hunt. Stop by Destination McDowell (91 Catawba Ave) or Arrowhead Gallery & Studios (77 Catawba Ave) beginning Thursday, June 5th to pick up your Scavenger Hunt card and look for Henry around town and at festival events. Collect stickers & win a sweet treat!

We are pleased to inform our residents that the boil water advisory for the Town of Old Fort has officially been lifted as of today.

Water samples have been tested and meet all state and federal safety standards. It is now safe to use tap water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, and all other normal uses.

🚨 Public Notice: Boil Water Advisory in Effect 🚨

The Town of Old Fort is currently experiencing a water line break. As a result, all residents and businesses located south of the railroad tracks are now under a Boil Water Advisory until further notice.

🔹 What This Means:
If you are south of the railroad tracks, please boil all water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, and washing dishes for at least one (1) minute at a rolling boil.

🔹 Stay Informed:
We are working diligently to repair the break and will provide updates as soon as possible. Please monitor our official page and local news outlets for further information.
