Looking for full time and part time help.

I need someone who can work unsupervised and not kill all the dogs and burn the salon down on the first day.

We are a specialized high end salon grooming 10-20 dogs a day. This job consists of bathing and getting pups squeaky clean, blow dried, and brushed out in preparation for their groom.

This is NOT A GROOMING POSITION, but you do have to have dog/animal experience. Taking your dog to the dog park on weekends does not count.

If you enjoy it and want to learn to become a groomer that could be something to look at in the future.

If your idea of bathing is showing up to kiss a puppy, playing fetch, feeding treats and taking selfies, please don’t respond.

If you don’t communicate effectively or take education/instruction well, or if you take it as “being yelled at” because I have to raise my voice over the dryer then please dont apply.

Pay depends on experience. $10-$16

You'll be handling a lot of dogs. A LOT. You must be capable of handling young, sometimes rambunctious pups weighting up to 180lbs without loosing your mind or temper...you're gonna get scratched, probably bit at some point, you'll also get pooped on, peed on, and occasionally a**l gland juice in your hair.

You will be required to dry all dogs thoroughly, and your work will be checked.

Do you have a car? You’ll need a car. If your car is routinely on the fritz then PLEASE don’t bother applying.

All in all I really don’t care if you’re a social butterfly or you barely speak. I don't care if you're gay, straight, or non-binary. I don’t care if you’ve got big holes in your ears or you only shave in March or if you even like people. Most days, I don’t either. All I care about is that you show up on time, and you don’t take 40 minutes to bath a 5lb yorkie and that you're good with the dogs. Lord help me you have to know what you’re doing with the dogs.

I put all the bad out there because I don't have time to deal with folks who freak out when they get pooped on and want to go home to change. I ain't got time for that.

Truly this is a very rewarding career. 90% of the dogs love it and the special relationships you create with the pups and their owners makes doing what we do all worth it.
