Forgotten Felines of Maine is a small group of people helping those who care for the homeless, stray, abandoned and feral cats in Maine. The featured cat is Luna. She is an abandoned stray who is just a year old. She was emaciated and pregnant when FFOM found her. FFOM spayed her and the vet care that she needed to be ready to go to a new home. When the World Trade Center collapsed on 9/11, nearly 10,000 rescue workers joined in the effort. Over 300 of those heroes were dogs.

The devotion of the dogs to their work became an inspiring sight to emergency medical workers and to others who witnessed the urgent rescue effort.

Today we honor the search and rescue four-legged heroes of 9/11 too.💚

It’s been brought to our attention by some local dog owners recently, that their dogs have been getting sick after swimming in the ocean. A few vets have confirmed that it is due to the bacteria that has been discussed by local news channels. Please share this so people are aware and can take necessary precautions.
