😥Unfortunately we have some sad news to share😥 Buddy got his test results back from the vet and he has severe Lyme disease. Thank you to Hands Helping Paws Project for paying for Buddy’s vet visit and his first month of Lyme medication! ❤️‍🩹Our hearts are broken for Buddy but we are hopeful for his recovery with all the love and support our community has offered him and his owner Jamie. Due to unforeseen circumstances we cannot move Jamie and Buddy into the place that we were planning on moving him to. Buddy will need to live near our vet in S**o because his test results showed that he not only has Lyme disease but his thyroid is abnormal. Buddy has been on vet recommended food and treats that have been donated by his generous supporters. The expensive sensitive skin food and skin products that people have sent in have fixed Buddy’s belly rash! ❤️ We will keep everyone updated on Buddy’s health. Through no fault of their own we will have to find a new place for Jamie and Buddy to live. With such short notice we have been paying for the hotel out of our own pockets. We were happy to do this for our friends but we cannot completely support them and we don’t know how long we will be able to continue to pay without help. Jamie and Buddy had been homeless ever since their house burnt down. Jamie was asking for food for Buddy. They were both struggling in the summer heat. We took them to a hotel and got them food. Thanks to their generous supporters and the help of the town we have kept them housed through the summer, fall, and winter. Buddy has received all of the medical treatment that he has needed and we have put him on the strict diet that his vet recommended.

Buddy went to the vet today! 🐾 He had an exam, full bloodwork, f***l exam and urinalysis. He got the vaccines he needed, a year supply of heartworm prevention, and a Soresto collar. This vet visit was fully paid for by the Hands Helping Paws Project!

When we met Jamie and his service dog Buddy in July, they were homeless in Biddeford, Maine. They needed to move their tent because the town was closing down the encampment that they were living in. Jamie and Buddy had been homeless ever since their house burnt down. Jamie was asking for food for Buddy. They were both struggling in the heat. We took them to a hotel and got them food. We have been able to keep them housed since then with the help of the town and many others. We were finally able to find a home for Jamie and Buddy. After a long time of not knowing if they would end up on the street again, they can finally settle down in one place. We have fundraised enough to furnish their new living space. They will be using a wood stove.

Buddy went on a ride today to see his new home! 🐾 We brought a truck load of Amazon orders and started to unbox and set up. Thanks to our generous supporters we were able to furnish their new living space. They have most of their necessities now except for a couple items on their Amazon list. We even updated the list with some Valentine’s Day gifts for Buddy and Jamie ❤️ Buddy’s new home has a beautiful yard that the home owner has generously allowed Buddy and Jamie to share. They will be moving in on Saturday.

Buddy is enjoying his stay in his hotel room! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, shared, and showed their support 🐾. Buddy has been able to switch to sensitive skin pet food and treats thanks to his generous supporters ❤️. He also has been sent all of the topical skin care products that he needed. We are beginning to receive the Amazon packages that people have been sending to Jamie and Buddy so they can furnish their new living space. They will also need fire wood to stay warm this winter if anyone is interested in donating some. We can pick up donations if you live near Old Orchard Beach. We have a Go Fund Me and an Amazon wishlist with some items that they are in need of. Jamie and Buddy will be moving into their new home on February 15th. The kindness and generosity of the community has been so helpful to Jamie and Buddy. 🐾

🆘🐶🆘🐾🆘Hello everyone! We are still searching for a place to put Jamie and Buddy’s 5th wheel camper. If anyone is interested in renting their property to Jamie please send us a message. We have less than one month to find them a place to park their camper. Buddy loves all people and dogs. We got such an amazing response from the community that we have almost gotten Jamie back on his feet. We are hoping for a place within 45 minutes of Old Orchard Beach to park the camper so we can continue to provide transportation and bring them donations from their supporters.

We would like to address some negative comments that we have been receiving. When we met Jamie he was homeless on the side of the road looking for food for Buddy. They were both sweltering in the summer heat. We took them to a hotel so that they could be in the a/c and have something to eat. Many people saw their suffering and were more than happy to help. Others have said that we should not be helping them any longer. At this point we love Buddy like he is our own dog. We just cannot send our friends out into the snow. Jamie and Buddy have been homeless in the middle of winter in a tent before and we do not want this to happen to them again. Jamie is disabled and is unable to work. Buddy is Jamie’s service dog and they cannot be separated. Buddy also has extreme separation anxiety when he is away from Jamie which we have witnessed. We hope that people can understand this. We are just a bunch of dog lovers that want to help. All negative comments will be deleted as they are harmful to us and Jamie. Through no fault of their own they have had 2 possible permanent living options that didn’t work out. We are limited in the information that we can give out because we have to protect their privacy. We have been working alongside professionals to help them to find somewhere permanent but there is a lack of affordable places to park campers in our area. We are so appreciative for all of the help that people have given to them. Thank you to everyone who has donated to and shared their go fund me.

🆘We are so happy to announce that Jamie and Buddy will not be going back to the street. Thanks to our generous supporters they are temporarily safe at a new and more cost effective location for another month. Somebody who would like to remain anonymous has generously donated a camper to them. We are currently in search of a place for them to live in it. If anybody has any options please send us a message. Thank you so much to everyone who has been donating, sharing, offering advice, and showing their support.

URGENT UPDATE ‼️ We are still looking for an inexpensive place for Jamie and Buddy to live. Jamie and his dog Buddy will be homeless in 8 days unless we can figure out a living situation for them. We are now reaching out to anyone who can help us figure this out. Jamie has a very limited income. If anyone knows of a cheap rent that is available for one man and his dog please send us a message and let us know. We do not want to see Jamie and Buddy back on the streets in the middle of winter. All housing options for Jamie have fallen through. We appreciate all help.

We just wanted to clarify that we do not currently have over 7000 in the Go Fund Me. the Go fund me was created back in July and a lot of the money has already been spent on his housing and other necessities. Go fund me also takes a portion from every donation.

When we met Buddy and his owner Jamie they were facing homelessness in Biddeford, Maine. We met him on a hot day in July when he was looking for food for Buddy. Jamie and Buddy were struggling in the heat. We took them to a hotel and got them some food. Thanks to our generous supporters and the town they have been staying at a motel since July. Since then Jamie has faced many issues with finding a rent despite trying every day to fix his situation. He notified us today that he has no more options.
