Good morning all! For those waiting on call backs I just wanted to reach out and explain. Had a bit of scare with our guy Beau this week, his eyes were in rough shape and loosing vision. It took majority of the day to find the right place to bring him for help, he has since been diagnosed, and is on the mend after a night in the emergency clinic. I will be working hard to get back to everyone today and I sincerely appreciate the patience. On a side note I cannot stress the importance of flea and tick preventative, even with his on board Beau has suffered from the effects of Anaplasmosis.

With the summer break coming to a close, I’d like to share with all of you that Beau made his dock diving debut over the weekend. Not only did he reach personal best every jump but came home with his first title!
For those of you looking to get your dog into a sport or just want to work on obedience, Central K9 is the place to go! There are all types of fun things to do with your pup and well worth reaching out.
On that note I hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday week and I will be back in the shop in full swing Tuesday morning at 8a. Thank you for all those who have patiently waited for returns on voicemails and messages I will get back to all asap.

Hi Pawfection Gang! Heads up that the Shop is currently closed for summer break. We will reopen for regular shop hours Tuesday July 9th at 8am. All calls, texts, and emails will have responses by the end of next week. We are currently booking out to August 10th and onward.
Have a safe and happy Fourth of July week! Be sure to have your calming meds, and pets leashed and secured ready for upcoming inevitable firework demonstrations! Being prepared can help prevent loose and lost pets!

Friendly heads up that The Pawfectionist will be closed Friday June 21st through the weekend and reopen special hours Monday June 24th at 9am. All messages will be returned that following week left over the weekend. Stay cool!!

Good morning all happy Tuesday! Just a heads up on scheduling. We are swamped over here with calls, text, emails and online bookings. I am doing my best to get to everyone in the order they’ve been received. Currently first available slots are into August, WOW!! We will continue to keep books closed to new clients to accommodate our current peeps.
For those that need appointments please reach out, for those that have standing appointments please bare in mind if you cannot keep your slot to reach out with as much notice as possible, there are those that have been pushed out that would LOVE to swap slots with you, with enough notice we can make that happen!!

The power of skin restoration!
This poodle has a condition called sebaceous adenitis. an auto immune disorder that ultimately stops the production of body oils that the skin needs to stay healthy. Using Iv San Bernard products we are able to replicate and
provide what the skin is lacking. When treatment fell short and we started seeing hair loss we knew it was time to see the vet and check internally for issues. The vet found unbalance and started meds to put her back in order. Now back on the right track it’s time to regrow that gorgeous top knot back! Not only are we seeing hair growth results but most importantly it played a key roll in catching a metabolic imbalance. So happy to see this girl happy and healthy!! that is the ultimate goal 🐶❤️

It’s been a great year here at The Pawfectionist.
I just wanted to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU!!! Our little shop is one of the five nominees in the running for Best Pet Salon for 2024! Voting for the winner starts March 18th. I will be asking all of our lovely peeps “paws” a moment 😜 and go vote for us when the time comes but for now, I am just truly humbled to even be this far thanks to all of YOU! ❤️ 🐾

PRICE INCREASES:
Hey Gang I just wanted to take a moment to give everyone a heads up on some increases to product and service pricing. While I do my very best to keep prices low to allow more people the ability to provide the very best for their pups, I do have to make changes as they happen to continue to bring in the very best I can offer. Healthy puppies and happy humans is always top priority!

💩 Gland expression add on service will be increasing from $5 to $8.

🍊 Our Deshed/ coat rebuilder (great for excessive shedding as well as skin and coat restoration) orange pek add on as well as our 🫚 soothing Ginger/ Edlerberry pek ( great for pups with skin ailments that need itching relief also offers anti bacterial properties) are both increasing to $4.50/ unit.

For reference, small single coat dogs use 1 unit where XL double coated dogs generally use 4 units.
Since switching I have seen huge changes in overall skin and coat health I’m sure many of you have noted the difference as well!

A week ago I noticed my little friend right outside the shop while I was taking my kids out to potty. He is very much un afraid of people and their dogs and made no attempt to run from us. He also is a tri pod and from what I see it’s a surgical amputation meaning he’s had human contact! Here he is happily enjoying some apple slices I offered him. He is safe from predators here and stays behind my little shop. Please just keep an eye out when you stop by with your pups. We don’t want anyone getting ahold of him.

When I first met Kasper, it was clear he was uncomfortable and could not leave his foot alone. After many trips to the vet and no improvement from their treatments he was declared to have a neurological licking obsession, it was stated he could not be cured, he’d always do this and his conformation show career was abruptly ended. I simply couldn’t just accept that, I had theories of my own for what had happened to his skin ( like over washing in harsh whitening shampoo before each show) and with some convincing and not much more to lose by trying we started skin therapy treatments. 6 weeks later the skin barrier has been repaired and is no longer red and inflamed, he has since STOPED LICKING. all that’s left is to grow back some hair and fade some staining. I’m thrilled to say this guy will be returning to his show life very soon and is a much more happy camper with better, more gentle bathing products to prevent this from ever happening again. 😁
I mean it when I say dog grooming is so much more than just cutting nails and hair, the products and techniques used can affect your dog’s overall health in huge ways. Starting at the skin, the very base level, I strive to build a strong foundation for healthy coats which in turn produces beautiful haircuts.

Many of you have heard me plead with you not to cut the knots out, this is why!! It’s not all for vanity. When you separate the matt to cut it, you tend to pull their loose skin forward and right into the path of your kitchen shears. I promise you, this happens wayyyyy more often than most people realize. Please please don’t cut the knots away! Talk to me about how we can get it out, I’m always here to help you and have many tips, tricks, tools and products in our arsenal!

Hi all! We are again working to get everyone out and home before the weather turns bad. I have been slowly but surely working on calling everyone back that has left messages. We will close by 4p tonight and any calls un returned by then will be Wednesday for sure!
For tomorrow I plan to open a tad bit late, I need to make sure we have power but anyone who has an appointment will be contacted in the event we need to reschedule! Stay safe all!

Good afternoon all and happy new year!! 🎉 We are back to normal operations today. With the impending storm I am doing my very best to stay on time and get all pups out well before the roads get slick. That being said, I do not plan to get to return many calls today. I plan to take the schedule home and work on it and returning your messages over the remainder of the weekend. I have turned off online booking until I can catch back up and ensure those who have already made request get added to the schedule before new request can pile up. I will have that back up and running by early next week.
New year, new hours. The Pawfectionist will now open and close a littler earlier. We will be open Tuesday-Friday 8a to 4:30p and Saturdays 9a-3p. Closed Sundays and Mondays. Those that need late weekday appointments will still be accommodated as needed no worries there! Finally, a heads up to all clients currently the new norm seems to be a 3-4 week wait for appointments. Please consider rebooking before you leave to ensure you get the day and time that’s best for you. Those who would like reoccurring appointments set up for the year please reach out and I will set them up asap! Stay safe this weekend all!

After a busy holiday season Santa’s helpers are exhausted and ready for a good nap. Thank you very much for all the well wishes and cards we loved everyone! We will be open regular hours this week and CLOSED the first week of the new year. We will resume normal shop activities Saturday January 6th.
