For Rocky, our lovable hound mix, life has been a series of transitions. In and out of animal shelters throughout his life, Rocky's story is one of resilience and hope. His journey took a pivotal turn when he arrived at The Animal Orphanage, where he would spend 122 days waiting for the right family to come along. He became our summer mascot, going to all our fundraisers and out shopping for supplies with us, playing with the other dogs, and enjoying his time out in the pool.
After what seemed like an eternity, Rocky's patience and perseverance were finally rewarded. He found his forever home with a caring human mom and a playful dog brother. This new chapter in Rocky's life marks the beginning of a stable and loving environment, something he has longed for throughout his life. He gets to be spoiled and well-loved with his new family and they are so happy to have him! We are incredibly happy that Rocky has finally found his forever home.
If you've adopted from The Animal Orphanage, we would love an update on how they are doing!

His journey took a pivotal turn when he arrived at The Animal Orphanage, where he would spend 122 days waiting for the right family to come along. He became our summer mascot, attending all of our fundraisers, playing with the other dogs, vocalizing how handsome he knew he was, and being his goofy self.

Here’s an Update on Quinn!
Update on Quinn! 🐾
Quinn’s training program ends this Tuesday 4/2, so she’ll be coming back to us with all of her new training skills in hand. Our hope is that her perfect human will be found sooner than later, as she has been with us for 695 days. Quinn was lucky enough to get out of the shelter for 2 months to work on her training and we had hoped we would find her human before she had to return to the shelter life. While we will focus as much time and energy as we can to keep her training skills sharp, we would love to see her in her new home as soon as possible.
A few reminders about our girl:
Quinn would do well in a home with guests as long as they can understand and respect that she needs slow and steady introductions that use her new skills and training so she can continue to thrive! The trainer, Christine, will be able to show her adopter exactly how to help her meet new people, along with the proper use of all of her other new commands to keep all of her new skills sharp.
Quinn loves to play with other dogs although sometimes she can be a little intense when she plays so she would require a meet and greet with all household dogs before being adopted. She loves to play! Quinn is a fairly young, high energy dog, so she'll need regular, consistent exercise. She loves to play fetch which is a great outlet for all of that energy!
If you aren’t able to consider adopting Quinn, but would still like to help her on her journey, please consider making a donation using the link below to help with the cost of her care and training program 🙂
