We have a baby MALE Eclectus joining us soon. Eclectus are a medium sized bird known for their excellent temperament. They are a hypoallergenic bird and have a but different of a diet from other parrots. They require high vegetable diet supplemented with non colored pellets. We have many baby birds for you to meet. TIP: do you have a hard time getting your bird to go back in its cage? Have a cup or a little tennis shoe foot toy or other foraging toy on the opposite side of the cage. Put a treat in the cup/toy, and bonus points if your bird sees you do this.

Make the treat something really special and desirable. For a lot of birds it is a pine nut or other nut, but you don’t want it to be something that’s regularly in their food. That way they really want to go get their nightly treat and should come off you hand much more easily when it’s time to go to bed.
