They have arrived !
Welcome the country music litter - in honor of Toby Keith.
Started at 330 in morning ( not a soul in sight - sorry Garth not this time ) ending with a c-section at 545 pm . Unfortunately we were not able to save them all. It appears someone passed a few days prior and may have been the reason for an early birthday . However we still have 5 healthy boys and a their little sister !

From the bottom of the picture up.
Reba ( all white female ) , Kenny, Tim, Toby, Vince and Alan.

Currently they are all spoken for.

This is a correct way to use the ecollar. Notice you are NOT seeing the dog twitch , yelp , cower to the stim of the collar! The only way you know he is getting “pressure” from the ecollar is because this trainer has the audio box set up for us to hear . Then when the task is totally complete the pressure is turned off , a marker word given and then a reward . Very clear communication for this bouncy young lab and it’s not breaking him .

Here’s Ricky , formally Franky . He is one of Dixie and DJ s pups that I recently went and bought back, not something I enjoy doing but it absolutely needed to be done this time and a lesson to me to trust my pup’s judgment the first time. In two weeks of being back home he went from cowering on the floor and completely avoiding us to a happy tail and I have started to find his play again.

So a training tid bit from this video.

My goal with this session was to build up his fetch/play drive , his first retrieve was great, his second he had a brief moment of distraction , third was great and forth was really distracted on his part.
This was the first time I have gotten him to play fetch since I’ve had him back. From my trainers ‘hind sight’ I should have stopped with the fetch after the first retrieve - anyone know why? why did I actually mess up with stopping after the forth retrieve ?

Sooo busy!!I never thought possible that I could be busier than ‘normal’ but this year I am. So some updates for the kennel.
My actual web page is down - expired credit card on file for go daddy and my old email address. They gave 2 weeks and deleted all the info. So I am restructuring everything.

Most the girls just went through heat , I did not breed anyone for a winter litter .

I do have young adults, retired adults and a few fosters up for discussion for the perfect new address.

I still have past litters to finish registration on, I’m aware of this and have not forget .

We will plan on a litter in the spring.
