Save1Pet, Inc., formed in 2004, is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit and is a support organization to assist the local animal shelters with increasing adoptions and public awareness regarding the responsibilities of caring for domestic animals. Since 2004, we have rescued 1,465 dogs and cats from local shelters, surrendered by caregivers or strays found on the street through 2012.

Little Missy is still looking for her furever home. She’s got all her puppy shots now, wormed, heartworm prevention, flea and tick protection. She’s about 12 weeks old now.
We need to help her foster family find a safe place for Missy from September 10th to September 15th. Anyone available to get a dose of puppy breath?

Momma Callie has been in boarding since July 31st. All fencing materials have been ordered and have arrived at the dog house.
We need some w**d eating completed to clear the way for the wires. We’ve helped many over the years. Now we need your help!
HELP!
We can’t keep paying for boarding and it’s not fair to Momma Callie. She’s totally out of her element not being free to run the yard, leash walks only, not trusting but a few at the clinic to walk her. She’s deteriorating there and it’s not helpful for me to visit her. She’s wouldn’t understand why she’s not leaving with me.
Her only hope to have any kind of life is for my fence to secure her to keep her safe.
The electric wire fencing supplies were under $500 but put that together with the boarding really adds up fast.
We need someone to help with the w**d eating first.
Then we need some folks to help with the install.

Sadly, no one showed up to meet me. I’m fully vetted now. Neutered, microchipped, all my puppy shots and rabies vaccine, current on all my preventatives. I’ve done pretty good on the leash today at PetSmart. I’m right at 4months old and ready for a family to call my own. Save1Pet rescued me and my sister from our local over crowded shelter. Sister has gone to a great home. Oh, I’m so hoping my happy ever after comes soon.

What? I have a 9yo boy coming to meet me Saturday?
Yes! And a pretty nice mom n dad too!

What in the he!! just happened. This is the third day in a row the old lady at the dog house has taken me for a ride. 😂 today was a dang long ride. I took a couple of naps going through Arkansas and another nap on my way to Oklahoma. And this very sweet lady sat with me in the back seat all the way back to Oklahoma. Heck, she made her sister do the driving.
Now I’m checking out all this new stuff. Big nice yard! Look a very nice comfy dog bed. A cute lamb chop stuffie. All for me? Wow. I hit the Jack pot!

This big guy weighs in at 92 pounds, a year and 8mo old now. Neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccines and preventatives. He’s a scary cat but once he knows you he’s all love ❤️. He gets along with any dog he’s been around. It will just take patience to wait on him to trust you. If you wait for it you too can get a big wet sloppy kiss 💋.

Come meet Missy. This very smart pup already knows how to use a doggie door. She also has been swimming in her foster family’s pool. She was rescued from our local over crowded shelter to give her time to find the perfect family. She’s only 8-9 weeks old and will probably be a medium size dog full grown. Still lap size 😂 she loves chilling in foster dad’s lap.

I’m missing the big white fluff, Momma Callie like crazy. She’s not doing well in boarding but can’t get her back to the dog house until measures are made to the fence to secure her.
Thinking about putting a cattle wire at top. But we need help to install.

Millie is doing very well being back at the dog house. She’s put her weight back on and looks so good. She’s really enjoying being around other dogs. Her next home needs to have a dog friendly dog playmate.
She’s really giving her brother, Big Boy Marley and Lucy a run for the money. Lucy used to be scared of all dogs but has learned some aren’t so bad.

Pup Date: Just wanted to send some new pics of Brock! He’s such an amazing boy! He’s put on a little weight and filled out nicely! He went a couple weeks ago for a check up at the vet and he did amazing. Today he had his first trip to Petco where he picked out some goodies! We love him so much!
He’s in a loving home in Texas. Looks so much better.

A little birdie came by and told us that Penny has an application for adoption. It’s a long time friend who’s been in rescue as long as I have.
It’s a good thing because the old cat is tired of Penny stealing her wet cat food!
We are going to get Penny all checked out this week. Senior panel and get Dr Ruth to check her out.
This older gal was at our shelter in Olive Branch back in November of 2021. We pulled her and treated her for her heartworms.
We sure hope all this works out for Penny.

Typical morning at the dog house. Penny is getting ready to go to her new home in Oklahoma.

Penny had a check up at Olive Branch animal clinic today. Dr Ruth said her heart and lungs sounded good. We sent off her blood work for a senior panel. Results should be in tomorrow. She’s getting ready to travel to Oklahoma….

Good Tuesday morning from Buddy, the black n tan boy and Missy, the tan n white girl. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. We are grateful to be in a foster home while we are waiting to find our furever families. They are 7 weeks old, have 2 of their puppy shots and have been wormed twice. Spay and neuters will be set up for 16 weeks of age and they will get a microchip. To adopt us send an email to [email protected] And ask for an application.

Pups are enjoying the donated toys the young ladies brought yesterday.

Look at what the little birdie delivered today! Two widdles sprung from the Olive Branch shelter. Black n tan is a girl. Tan one is a boy. #we are still looking for names. Thanks Angie and James! The toy donations from the young ladies are getting all slobbered on.

Oakley just warms my heart with the bond she has with the old 20 year old cat. Every morning I get to see this old cat happy. He is always looking for lovins from Oakley.

Oakley is in her happy place around her fur friends. Wagging that tail nonstop. Loves the old cat and he is obsessed with her. Oakley will gently slap the old cat in the face and he just wants more and more. Old cat will follow Oakley around and Oakley lays down and will let cat do whatever he wants to her. It’s very special seeing this bond.

Oakley doing a bit better. It’s only taken a year for her to be less fearful. She enjoys being petted but you can’t make any fast moves. Slow and easy. She is able to get out the door to go outside with the other dogs without a leash now. That’s a big accomplishment!

What a crazy morning. I’m not sure what’s the dogs are digging for but most came in this morning with dirty faces and feet. If I had brought some of these fosters to an adoption event today folks would think we just picked them up out of a muddy field somewhere.
