We will be at Carolina Town & Country next weekend, August 19th, from 10 am-2 pm. We will be offering vaccines, heartworm testing, microchipping, deworming, and more.

Please fill out the following registration form to allow us to get you and your pet pre-entered. You should expect there to be a wait as it is first come, first serve; however, filling out the registration form and paying for the services prior will greatly reduce your wait.

Exciting announcement for SNVC!

Rest assured the Spay Neuter Veterinary Clinic of the Sandhills is and will remain open under same ownership and management - BUT we are moving the current location!
SNVC is open in Vass, but only until December 2020.

Starting January 2021 we will be in our new building in Fayetteville NC! The Fayetteville location is much larger and will allow us to offer wellness services, such as vaccines and preventative care.

We are now taking appointment for the Fayetteville location in addition to appointments for the remainder of 2020 in Vass. Call us at 910-400-7682 (SNVC) or visit our website www.SpayNeuterVet.org to schedule now!

Due to NC still being under phase two restrictions, Eaton Mobile Vet Services will not be able to hold the scheduled vaccination clinic at Carolina Town and Country this coming up Saturday, July 11th. We have been trying to come up with a way to hold the clinic and have not been able to work out the logistics with the restrictions and the high temperatures outside.

We are sorry for the inconvenience that this causes. We are all trying to adjust to the changes necessary with the pandemic to keep everyone as safe as possible, while still complying with government regulations.

Harnett County Government

Please make sure your pets are vaccinated!

Harnett County Animal Services has been notified that a raccoon that attacked a dog in Dunn has tested positive for rabies. An Animal Control Officer responded to a residence on Vann Lane in Dunn on Aug. 4 after a raccoon attacked a dog in the yard. The dog killed the raccoon, which was sent off to the State Laboratory of Public Health, which confirmed on Aug. 7 that the raccoon tested positive for rabies.

The dog, which was reportedly not up-to-date on its vaccinations, was taken to the Harnett County Animal Shelter.

All Harnett County pet owners are encouraged to make sure their pets’ rabies vaccinations are up-to-date. Dogs, cats and ferrets age four months or older should be vaccinated. Harnett County Animal Services offers one-year rabies vaccinations at a cost of $8. To make an appointment, contact Animal Services at (910) 814-2952. Please vaccinate your pets!! There have been several animals that tested positive for Rabies in the last few weeks in Sanford!! Come join us next Saturday, July 21 from 10-2 at Carolina Town and Country in Sanford.

**Alert** Last night a resident reported being bitten by a fox while in their backyard. The fox is currently being prepared to be shipped to the State Lab for testing to determine if this is a rabies case. Residents are urged to use caution and report strays and suspicious animals to the Lee County Sheriff's Office Animal Control Unit at 919-775-5531

A stray cat and raccoon each tested positive for rabies in two different areas of the county recently, prompting Lee County Animal Control officers to encourage residents to get their pets vaccinated.

There have now been THREE CONFIRMED cases of EEE (Eastern Equine Encephalitis) in North Carolina in the past month. This is a very deadly disease that is easy to prevent with vaccination. Make sure that your horses are not overdue for their vaccines - especially this year!!

The outbreak is likely due to the increase in mosquito population in the area with the high amount of rain we have had. Make sure your horses are properly vaccinated by your veterinarian so that the manufacturer will guarantee the vaccine. Over the counter/ feed store vaccines are not guaranteed currently.

EEE IS CLOSE - Cumberland County!!
A 16 month horse stabled in Cumberland County has been confirmed through IHC at Rollins as the second EEE positive case in NC for 2013. Onset of signs was 7/13/13 with the horse being euthanized on 7/16/13. Previous history of a single OTC vaccination (no booster) was reported but even this was overdue in April, 2013.

A 4 year old Miniature stallion in Pender County has been confirmed through IHC at Rollins as the third EEE positive case for NC in 2013. Onset of clinical signs was 7/18/13 and the horse was found dead early the next day, 7/19/13. There was no history of prior vaccination.
