Are walks a drag? Our Loose Leash Walking 3 week intensive class turns walks into a walk in the park! This class is for dogs who are super excited to see the world and sniff all the things, not dogs who are scared of the world or reactive towards other dogs or people, although we're happy to help those pups in private lessons!

Today is National Check the Chip day! Take a minute to make sure your microchip is registered with up to date info and have your vet check them at your next appointment. There are lots of places you can register them for free, all you need to know is your microchip number! Microchips are a critical piece in making sure your pup gets home if they ever get lost.

Last Saturday we had the pleasure of working with these four fabulous pups and some amazing volunteers from City Dogs Cleveland! Jazzy, Jude, Devo, and Nacho all worked on some polite greeting skills and basic training in the hopes of helping them find their forever homes. Handsome Jude went home this weekend but everyone else (and many more!) are still looking for love. Get in touch with City Dogs today if you’re in the market for a new best friend!

Mat work in the real world! We teach a settle on a mat in so many of our classes and private lessons because it’s such a great foundation skill. This mat and the puppy on it took a trip to Geneva on the Lake for a relaxing outdoor lunch. How do you use your mat?

Last Saturday we welcomed these lovely pups (and the amazing volunteers who handled them) from City Dogs Cleveland to work on some life skills and give them a break from the shelter. Bill, Cordero, Denver, and Trapper all did a fantastic job practicing polite greeting and learning a leave it cue. These happy boys are all looking for their perfect home along with so many others so get in touch with City Dogs if you’re looking for your new best friend!
Starting this Thursday at 4:30 we have a new session of Adult Essentials running! This is the perfect class for a new rescue pup or any adult that needs a refresher of the basics. In Adult Essentials we go over how to use a clicker to train behaviors, all the basic cues like sit and down, life skills like loose leash walking and leave it, and how to prevent problems like resource guarding before they happen.
