A lot of people think socializing their puppy means taking them to the dog park and letting them greet every person they see. While safe, positive interactions have their place, socialization is so much more! Focus on calmly experiencing a wide variety of different people, places, and things in a way that keeps your puppy is happy and confident the entire time.

Saturday 11/16 I will be set up at Pet Education Center by TBC in Olmsted Falls and Saturday 11/23 I will be at Hollywood Feed- Hudson. I have afternoon appointment times available. This class goes through everything you need for your new best friend ages 16 weeks through 1 year old. Mondays at 1:30, the first session is virtual so there's a flexible start this week. We recognize the critical importance of the early socialization window of puppies and are working on making sure no puppy is left behind due to our class schedule. Our Puppy Prep class for puppies 16 weeks or younger at their first session is now open enrollment so whenever you bring your new best friend home you can start class! We’re still working out some details with our scheduling software to streamline the process for you but sign up is open now at PetEducationCenter.as.me/PuppyPrep

Trainer Sarah had a great week at ACD Nationals! Her red girl, Scout, got 5 Qs out of 6 scentwork runs earning her novice container title, a first place in advanced exteriors and fourth places in novice buried and exteriors. Sarah’s puppy, Gamble, also got a novice containers Q at his very first trial, on his very first out of state trip, and being run by a complete stranger! Huge stuff for a puppy!
