Happy National Girls and Women in Sports Day!
I can even imagine what my life would be like without sports, especially basketball, in it! This Day was signed into recognition by President Reagan back in 1987, not too long after my 8th Grade team won the Class L State Championship! Fast forward to high school and Mrs Zerkle gave all us girls National Girls and Women in Spirts t-shirts! That was back when getting a tshirt was a BIG deal! 😂
Girls, keep dreaming big and reaching those goals you set! But, most of all, have fun and enjoy every minute of whatever team you are a part of.
