After a lot of prayer, thinking through, and talking about it there is a high possibility that we will be taking a year off now that Lady is officially retired. During this time we will continue to update this page with the new things that are to come, like hopefully adding a new boy sometime this year as well as Danielle finishing her health testing and getting ready to be a first time mom. If we do have a litter it will be from our sweet Summer Jewel; again this isn't us being fully done, this is about taking a moment and making it better as well as giving us a break.

Today was vet day despite the rough weather we got yesterday. Miss Dolly got a clean bill of health as well as was the star of the clinic; giving kisses, snuggles, and sweet puppy loves to the entire staff. She weighs over 3lbs, is 7 weeks old, slept the entire trip to and from, and didn't whine or cry at all! Oh, and she had to show the vet her lamby chop that she took with her. What a little sweetheart! ❤️❤️

Our Dolly girl is officially 6wks old and has officially hit that stage where her ears seem shorter than her head 🤣. She's grown in leaps and bounds; this week she figured out that the faster she pottys outside the faster she gets to go back in the house. She's learned that the cat is ok but not her favorite babysitter, the chickens are loud, and if she times her hops and leaps she looks like she's dancing and it makes aunt Summer want to play with us. Her favorite pastime is to be held and cuddled and the softer the blanket the faster she falls asleep. It's been a big busy week for her; happy 6wks Dolly.

Today's been a busy day. Lately it's taken an hour to do our nightly routine and by the time it's done I'm worn out! Tonight was no exception, but tonight there was Dolly cuddles well past her bedtime and to the point where she took a pre-bedtime nap.

Somehow it doesn't seem like it but Miss Dolly will be 5wks in just a few hours. Today she got her puppy groom and did great with it; she's learned to potty outside, play with the cat, give snuggles and kisses, and is just the sweetest girl.
I love all my pups but there's just something about the baby's of a final litter that causes me to tear a little..."the end of a chapter" so to speak and Dolly is no exception. With her being the only baby I've held on and seemingly dreaded making any final decisions but decisions have to be made. I've decided now that she's past 4wks I will not be keeping her here with me...which means some family is going to get an extremely loved and spoiled baby.
Happy 5wks Dolly, you're truly an incredible miracle puppy. ❤️❤️

Somehow it seems hard to believe that Dolly turns 4wks in just a few short hours. A full month has passed since her arrival and what a month it's been. She's partially nursing and eating puppy mush, she walks, trots and "barks" at us for attention and love. I don't think we could love her anymore than we already do!

This is one of the happiest updates I get to announce. After losing one of Cockertail's original senior pups 2 months ago they made the decision that they wanted our Bentley boy...well their Bentley boy. The update picture that I got on how well he's settling in warmed my heart. Bentley adores his new human and the smile he gives him is just the sweetest! Happy trails Bentley boy, you deserve all the happiness in the world!
