We always do our best and put a lot of thought and consideration to respectfully adopt to the home who is the best fit for the kitty. (This can be extremely difficult when we have multiple perfect applicants, which happens a lot). This kitty needed a home who would provide ongoing care, clipping, observation, and veterinary visits for his extra toes as is necessary for all polydactyl kitties AND have a home where he would be snuggled and loved beyond infinity and have another kitty to play with. We are so blessed that he found his home with a family who will love and cherish him and take such good care of him. We are so thankful🥰

It’s ok Mama. You’re safe now🙏🏻 I know you were out there for a long time trying to survive on your own, hungry, thirsty, scared, looking for shelter, then trying to survive for you and your 6 babies you were carrying, desparately looking for the best place you could in time to have them. Your boney hips and concaved body barely supported them and yourself but somehow you did it. You found the side of a house, under an eve, to keep them as safe as you could. You took care of them, fed them, washed them, loved them, not knowing for sure what the future held. On your own for quite a while with nothing to eat but grass and a bite here and there while making sure your babies were as safe as you could. You’re a survivor. And you’re safe now. Since you have come into rescue, exhausted, scared, and so very thin, you have already shown us your gratitude and love. We are so relived that you are with us and so very thankful for the family who found you, fed you, and brought you to meet us. You are eating, have a soft bed, consistent food and water, and taking such good care of your babies, and so much love coming for YOU! You have been through what no kitty should have to do and deserve all the love and care. You seem so much more relaxed and happy today, waking up in a warm soft bed with your babies by your side. Relaxed and happy, already gaining some weight. We’ll take care of you, Mama. You’ll be ok, now. Your babies will be ok. Rest easy🙏🏻🥰

This little nugget went to her new home today🎉Her mama was a stray who went into labor literally as she was being packed up to come into rescue. The person who was bringing her to us was kind enough to agree to hold mama for a couple of days so she could have her babies peacefully without being transported and changing environments mid-labor🥰She had her babies and now 3 are recovered from surgery (one more and mama are waiting for their neuter/spay date) so they can go into homes. The babies and mama have been smothered with love and are happy and healthy. So thankful for the person who saw her and recognized that she needed help. By getting her to a reliable rescue, mama’s babies were spared a feral life and mama could be comfortable, healthy, and receive services and so much love. She is a sweetie😻

HUUUUGE EXCITING NEWS for Passionate Pussycats Feline Rescue🎉🎉We have partnered with Petsmart at their Lacey location (719 Sleater Kinney Rd SE Olympia) for adoptions😻It was a lot of work to set up and to maintain, but we did it and LOVE it! We have so much going on behind the scenes, but fixed, adoptable kitties will be at this location. Come on in and say hi to the kitties! We go every morning and every evening to clean and check on them. There are applications on site to fill out and return to us by text, email, or messenger. The Petsmart staff is wonderful, too! If you are looking for volunteer opportunities, please reach out! We need help with the twice a day cleaning and have other options as well. Counts for volunteers hours for work or school, too! We can also accept unopened food and supply donations here!❤️ Check in with Petsmart staff upon entry and they will set up! Donations always needed and so appreciated🙏Come say hi to our kitties!

Paws for daaaaaaayyyys!😹Polydactyl kitties are so beautiful, but do require special care. Nail trimming is crucial & they need regular visits with a verinarian to make sure the paws and claws are growing properly and not causing issue like the claws growing into their pads or an extra toe catching on things or causing mobility or comfort complications. Some have extra toes on just the front and others on the front AND the back! These two boys are as sweet as they come🥰They were from a caring family who needed help with several kitties and we were so happy to partner with them to get 7 kitties closer to being in heir new adoptive loving families🙏

We are so appreciative to the owners of these kittens for bringing them to Passionate Pussycats Feline Rescue where they will be safe and receive everything they need before going to carefully approved homes. There are actually three here, but one is hunkering down in the back😻They are happy & healthy! Thankful the owners already have an appointment for spaying mama🎉🎉& these babies of course will be fixed, too, so the cycle will be broken🙏which leaves room for others to find homes and receive care🥰
