It’s that time of year again where everyone’s schedules get busy, budgets are tight and sicknesses are running rampant. We understand that these factors effect everyone’s lives, but please be aware that we must strictly adhere to the Oly Grooming Co.’s 48-hour cancellation policy located in our service agreement. Life happens… and sometimes our grooming buses are out of commission or we get sick. Sometimes we overbook our schedules and run out of time in a day. Just as we appreciate your flexibility, we are happy to accommodate your schedule to the best of our abilities and are here to serve you, but remember:
we are a small business. Our groomers only get paid when you pay your bill. When someone cancels last minute or no-shows, our finite schedule is massively disrupted and our ability to put food on the table for our families is put at risk. While we have a long “cancellation list” of people waiting to fill your spot, everyone’s schedules are busy and more often than not your appointment slot cannot be filled last minute by another client, resulting in lost income and wasted time. We plan our entire days around YOUR appointment because we value your time and the time of our other clients. Our automated scheduling system sends several reminder messages leading up to your appointment, giving you ample opportunity to cancel prior to the 48-hour mark.

Because of some recent incidents, we will be REQUIRING all clients to place a card on file with the Oly Grooming Co. at their upcoming appointments. Your card information will be kept secure within our booking system, but may be charged our $35 cancellation and no-show fee per our service agreement if needed. We had hoped it wouldn’t come to this, but we thank you for understanding and are excited to continue serving as your preferred pet groomers into 2024. 😊

Recently, vets across the US have been reporting an uptick in cases of an unknown respiratory virus spreading amongst canines. Very little is known about the virus at this point, but for now research facilities such as Cornell University have compiled a list of suggestions to ensure your pet stays safe from the virus. We have created the infographic below to highlight some key suggestions.

As a grooming facility, we will be following a strict hand-washing and wipe-down procedure between clients and strictly enforcing our one-dog-at-a-time policy within our stationary salon (except for dogs within the same family).

We will also be requiring that clients verbally answer a pet health screening questionnaire upon arrival for their appointment. All dogs showing signs of diarrhea, coughing, sneezing or excessively runny nose will be sent home and rescheduled for a minimum of 14 days from onset of symptoms or until symptoms have completely resolved.

Thank you all for understanding and respecting our desire to provide the safest grooming experience to our clients! ❤️
