Look for THE HAPPY SPIDER at the expo this weekend in Puyallup.

Here are some items you can find at THE HAPPY SPIDER table:

-Cuttlebone
-Bee pollen
-Immune booster for feeders
-Decorative rocks (sanitized)
-Worm casting concentrate
-Worm castings
-Tropical and Arid Springtails
-Dwarf White and Dwarf Purple Isopods
-Arid and tropical soil
-Beneficial Bacteria
-Assorted plants
-Tarantulas (SPECIES TBD)
-Enclosures with decorative backgrounds applied

Anything sold from THE HAPPY SPIDER is used in our own enclosures. The soil structure may be a bit more expensive but only need to add worm castings or beneficial bacteria to maintain it, rather than having to redo it.

Stop by to take a look or learn more about the way materials are prepared. These items are also sold at PET WORKS stores with great reputation.

🌱 Spring is here!!! 🌱

I adore this spot in my bathroom. The way the sun kisses the leaves of my plants brings joy to my soul.

This space is occupied by mostly propagated plants from tarantula enclosures & a few pieces of driftwood. After sterilizing the driftwood, I set it up on the edge of the bathtub so my beardie could take a bath & I never moved it. I love how the driftwood softens the hard edges of the tile work & compliments the luscious shades of green leaves. (Happy accident!)

This place makes me happy 😊

Another enclosure for a growing Poecilotheria rufilata...🌱😁🌱

I LOVE transfers! I used to get nervous for this activity, but after LOTS of experience I've realized it is what you make if it. Because of this realization, I look forward to the moment I get to introduce my tarantula to a new & exciting environment.

Tliltocatl kahlenbergi - Bioactive Enclosure: Part 1

I'm looking forward to completing this enclosure today 😁 The final product will depict a subtropical landscape from which this species originates in Mexico.

This video is about halfway through the bioactive build for my gorgeous Tliltocatl kahlenbergi. Does anyone else feel intense excitement to transfer their tarantula to their new home!?! I DO!!! I enjoy observing how they explore their new environment. There's so much to learn from these majestic creatures.

MUSHROOMS! FUNGI!!! Found these beauties on a recent hike through Capitol Forest. Someday I will be able to identify specimens like these, but not today 🤦‍♀️ Anyone out there know some or all of the mushrooms pictured!?!

Lasiodora parahybana's 20 gallon (long), bioactive enclosure. LARA's in her cave created by using a large piece of curved cork bark against her sculpted background. The edges are lined with rainforest moss to keep it dark in her lair.
