5:44 pm update: Rita was returned to our shelter today after a brief adoption. The adopter mentioned that Rita barked at their dog, and unfortunately, she's back in our care. We're hopeful that her next home will be her forever home!

11:17 am update: Rita has been adopted!

🎄 We are Wishing on a Holiday Miracle for Rita & Candy Cane🎄

It's hard being a shelter animal, especially for adult and senior pets. But there’s still hope this holiday season for two sweet girls looking for their forever homes!

🐾 Rita – 6.5 years old. After being rehomed from North Carolina, Rita ended up in Washington, but her previous owners didn't come back for her. She was found at a vet clinic with injuries, but our amazing Vet Team has been caring for her, and she's now on the mend! Rita is looking for a loving home where she can cuddle up on the couch and enjoy her golden years.

🐾 Candy Cane – 4 years old. Abandoned at Costco, Candy Cane was rescued by a kind-hearted community member and has been with us since 11/21. This sweet girl is ready for a home full of love and holiday cheer!

Both of these wonderful ladies are affectionate, sweet, and just want to be loved. ❤️
We're open Tuesday-Saturday from 9:30-5:30 (we process adoption applications until 5 pm)!
