Signs you need a dog trainer.

1. Destructive Behaviors.
Unwanted chewing, shredding, digging

2. Excessive Barking.

3. Aggression or Reactivity

4. House Training Issues.
House breaking or potty training issues in healthy dogs older than 6 months.

5. Basic Command Issues.
Every dog should follow the basic commands of come, sit, stay and walk nicely on the leash.

6. Recall Issues.
If your dog does not come when called not only is this frustrating but it can also be a major safety concern.

7. Excessive Jumping.
Jumping up on people is a big no no especially children and the elderly, and long nails can cause injury.

8. Resource Guarding.
Faced by many dog parents resource guarding can be a very frustrating behavioral issue. Resource Guarding can be food, toys, their owner, their bed, and even things that aren't for the dog (example: shoes, the loaf of bread off the counter, hair scrunchies, etc...)

9. Leash Pulling.
Not only unpleasant but can also be dangerous or cause injury to dog and owner.

10. Bolting.
Whether it's out the door, the gate or just away from you this can be a very dangerous behavior and leads to the deaths of many dogs every year.

11. Counter Surfing.
Not only is it irritating for your dog to steal dinner off the counter but it can be potentially fatal. Cooked bones or even medications stolen off the counter can be fatal for dogs. Not to mention many other items.

We are a part of the fastest growing dog training company in the country- Off Leash K9 Training, LLC. We are looking to add 2 trainers in the Omaha, Nebraska area!

This is a demanding and challenging profession. We need someone that is highly driven to establish professional relationships and be successful.

Minimum job requirements:

Must reside in or around the Omaha, NE area.

Must be able to board at least 2 dogs at your residence for 14 days at a time.

Must have reliable transportation.

Must have a smartphone.

Must have knowledge with Social Media (Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, etc.)

Must complete a 21 day certification process at the OLK9 Training Facility.

Day to day requirements:

Handling and training small and large breeds from puppy to adult.

Working with dogs needing behavior modification from anxiety to aggression.

Interacting with the public in a professional manner.

Driving to appointments in the Omaha area.

Continuing education and increasing skill in training, both dogs and human.

Attend PR events.

Be self motivated!

The ideal Dog Trainer candidate must have:

Strong work ethic, reliable, honest, and most importantly, a passion for dogs. Computer skills with the ability to create dog training videos. The ability to work during peak traffic periods during weekdays and weekends. Customer service and communication skills are essential.

The right person can easily earn $50-70K/year (or more) working from home, a lot of flexibility, and doing something you love!

Dave is a 2 year old French bulldog that came to our 2 week board and train program because his mom didn't know how to work through his reactivity, terrible leash manners or how to get him to stop barking. Dave did amazing during his time with us and his family is so happy to have their good boy back home with his new little brother.
