BIG MOMMA IS COMING HOME IN ABOUT HOUR ❤❤❤

Thank you everyone for all the thoughts and prayers, but keep them coming because Allie isn't out of the woods yet. She can still become septic over the next 5 - 7 days but has been doing really well and we can't wait to get her back home where she belongs.

This sweet girl is so brave and strong to not give up and has passed those same traits on to her 2 pups Chance and Tesha who we have decided to keep as we have built such a strong bond with them through almost losing both of them and the struggles they went through.

Asking for prayers for our Allie Grace....when she went in for her emergency c-section they found she had bladder stones. Well yesterday she had them removed and is now back at the vet because she won't eat and when she finally drinks any water it comes right back up. All of our dogs hold a really special place in our heart, but Allie is Skye's mom and we having really created a bond with her during her issues.

It is with a heavy heavy heart that the huge announcement we were hoping to make won't be taking place like we had hoped. Allie was pregnant and based on the best of our knowledge would have been due December 28th, but went into labor December 22nd while I was at work but Tricia was home and found the 1st puppy deceased and called me home from work. Allie struggled to give birth as the 2nd puppy hadn't shown up within 3 hours so I checked her and found the 2nd puppy stuck in the birth canal and I had to pull them out. After 3 - 4 more hours of no puppies we took her to the Urgent Pet Care for an emergency c-section to which she was found to be in labor distress and the remaining puppies were all in fetal distress. We were called when the surgery was complete and informed she gave birth to 12 more puppies, 4 of which didnt make it. Mom and the remaining 8 puppies were doing fine and we brought them home the next morning. We believe the first 2 or 3 we lost over the next day or 2 were a result of the fetal distress and the next 3 because of a combination of dehydration and Allie not promoting bowel movements when cleaning them as we attempted to make sure they were eating and going to the bathroom every 2 hours during this time and until we lost the most recent one a few days ago. The good news we still have 2 left that are doing really well so far even though I had to resuscitate one of them about a week ago. We are uncertain as to why we lost so many puppies as we were monitoring and doing what we noticed mom wasn't doing for them. The 2 we have remaining are a chocolate male and a fawn female, but we are unsure whether they will make it at this time or whether we will even sell either of them. We are unsure if we will ever breed Allie again as this isn't the first time she has had issues, but we are much wiser for her issues this time. We did however have some really good hope should we choose to breed her and Whiskey again as we had a very colorful litter with some very cool markings. The litter consisted of (1) black, (1) chocolate, (1) black pied, (1) brindle - possibly chocolate brindle but will never know, (1) blue brindle, (2) blues, (2) fawns, and (5) blue fawns. We will keep everyone up to date on these remaining 2 puppies and whether we decide to sell either or both of them.

This is in no way the way we wanted to continue what Vicki's dad started and she continued. She put a lot of faith in us to make her and her dad proud with this and right now even though I know breeding dogs is difficult that we are failing her 😢😢

Dozer's blood work results came back today. Dozer has a clean bill of health with no issues or discrepancies in his blood work. He is a healthy young boy as we had hoped for. We will continue his higher calorie diet to see if he gains his weight back and monitor to see if his irritability continues or if he was just hangry. Hoping he is just hangry to give us more time to determine if he is sterile or not.

Please pray for our guy Dozer who over the last 3 months has lost a noticeable amount of weight. He is scheduled for a full physical next Friday including blood work and possibly x-rays to hopeful determine why he has lost so much weight recently. With his testicular issue of them never dropping I'm concerned cancer may have hit him way too early, but we will find out next week and then schedule his neuter and any other procedures he may need for his issue. He's too young for this and I will work myself to death and throw the kitchen sink at whatever it is to get him better.

Boy were we wrong!!! Dozer caught our eye and we just had to have him so late February we drove down for the first time (Gunner was shipped) to pick up Dozer. Vicki Thornton asked us if we were still looking for a blue which is what we wanted when we got Gunner but couldn't afford it at that time. Of course we said yes and she showed us a couple day old blue female (Skye). On the way home I messaged Vicki and asked what the deal was with the little blue female and she told me that if she made it she was for sale. Well she was sold that day and we drove back down to get her 6 weeks later. Then a year later poor sweet Cali was the last of all the puppies from 2022 and nobody had taken this sweetheart home so we contacted Vicki and drove down and got her too. Now here we are 6 months from picking up Cali and we now also have Whiskey, Allie, and Hershey.

Our journey with Medlock Bullies - American Bulldogs began back in 2016 when Tricia Anderson got me Gunner for Xmas of 2015. He was my 3rd AB but my first since 2007 and he was a very special boy. He passed of cancer in Feb 2021 and we weren't ready for another at the time or so we thought

So Allie has been in heat for a solid week now and 3 days ago Tricia saw Dozer going to town like he knew what he was doing, but she didn't confirm he even had a clue what he was doing. So everyone keep your fingers crossed that not only Dozer knew what he was doing but that he also isn't sterile, so we could potentially have puppies here by XMAS 🤞🤞🤞

Tux & Allie turned out Skye and her brother Chip so hopefully Dozer can do the same
