We just got word that starting January 13th the bridge on 72nd street will be closed down on both sides, and is expected to take 6 months until they open any lanes.

As many of you know the 72nd street up the road from us has been under construction. Beginning in mid-January 2025, southbound 72nd Street will be closed at I-80, creating a full closure of 72nd Street from I-80 to F Street. Northbound 72nd Street will also remain closed for approximately six months. The existing bridge is reaching the end of its useful life and the corridor is over capacity during peak travel times. The key benefits of this project is to improve capacity and safety, and decrease congestion.
