Taking a moment to let you all know that Ernie will be taking some time off on Friday. To accommodate everyone's schedule, Ernie will be working tomorrow (Sunday) as Monday and will finish his routes for the week on Thursday. If you have any questions, please drop us an email at [email protected] or reach out at 402-210-4876.

Also we wanted to thank you for your grace and understanding as we went through a difficult time a couple of weeks ago.

As always we are proud to serve the best customers in the greater Omaha area.

08/26/2024

Good morning.

I just wanted to let you all know that we will be closed today. There was a death in our family and several members of our staff will be attending the funeral today. We will resume normal operations bright and early tomorrow morning.

Thank you and have a great day.

08/01/2024

What a storm last night. We hope everybody made it through OK.

We will be out trying to get our normal work done in this mess. IF you feel that we shouldn't be in your yard due to current conditions, please let us know right away. IF we do not visit your yard today, on your regularly scheduled day, please know that conditions upstream, in your area, prevented us from your yard.

Please be safe out there as we will take precautions, ourselves. Thank you for your business!

04/22/2024

Good morning! Just a quick note to let you all know that with the forecast so heavy with rain from Thursday morning through the upcoming weekend, we will have to get all of our yards done by Wednesday evening. Big job in front of us, but we're about to get after it! Have a great week, everyone.

02/16/2024

Due to an incident that happened on the road this morning, Ernie will finish all remaining customers that he serves personally on Sunday. We, sincerely, apologize for any inconvenience.

01/25/2024

Just a quick note to you all because we need some help. We have been working hard to stay on track, but there are a variety of things that slow us down. One of those things is something we hope you are going to help us out.

Please help us by making sure we can access your yard through your gate/s. We have been scooping snow to get in some yards, but can't do it for yards that have large drifting. Also, right now the snow is soft and compacts onto itself which does not bode well for opening gates that open inward towards the yard.

Please be patient as we are working hard to get everything caught up and we look forward to even better snow melting temps in the next 10 days. Thank you!

Welcome to Thanksgiving Week!!

Just a little reminder that we will be back at it early tomorrow (Saturday) morning working our Monday route/s up until Wednesday so that we may give our employees a four day holiday weekend next week. Have a great Thanksgiving and we will see you when we see you out in the field!

09/04/2023

Happy Labor Day, all! We are taking the day to spend time with our family. We will be back on the job tomorrow.

08/02/2023

As we wind up our Wednesday customers today we will turn our attention to Thursday and Friday customers. The probability of rain (most importantly, thunderstorms with lightning) increasing to +70% on Friday, all day, dictates that we need to wrap up this week by Thursday.

Thanks for your business and patience. We are happy, though. We really need this rain.

07/31/2023

Just an FYI to you all, we got off to a late start due to the thunderstorm. Also, it is likely that we may have to expedite service for Thursday this week if the forecast holds. We will keep you informed. Thank you!!

07/07/2023

Because of the length of the storm this morning, we WILL NOT be able to complete all of our routes by the end of today. This puts us in a little bit of a dilemma because we need some much needed maintenance on a couple of our trucks. We will use the entire weekend to catch up on our routes while also getting our overdue maintenance taken care of. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

06/26/2023

Good morning! As a result of having to use this week to deal with employee vacations and as many of you have noticed, already, we have started the week early. The work week this week will conclude at the end of business on Wednesday. Our team works hard and needs a few days for a break to recharge. Thanks for you understanding and allowing us to serve you.

05/29/2023

Good morning! A short post to inform you that we will be taking today, Memorial Day, off so that our employees can remember and honor those in their family who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country. We will be making up today's customers throughout the rest of the week1

Something happened on the way to getting caught up...

Good morning. I have to step away from the business for a few days in order to take care of some emergent family business. All I will say about that is that as we get older, we have dear and loved ones that require special care and treatment. Because of that I will be escorting that loved one to my brother's house in Austin. Also because of same day plane ticket prices, I was a slave to what I could afford. I am leaving today and will return in the late Monday afternoon.

I appeal to your grace and trust to allow for this and know that upon my return, I will be back on the job getting things caught up and back to normal, all things being equal with the weather.

As always, thank you for your business.

02/25/2023

Good morning, everyone! Just wanted to put things in perspective for you. We are working hard and have been in a recovery phase for a while trying to keep up with the weather, especially after what we experienced with rain and snow the previous week.

It began on Tuesday with the rain, Wednesday rain/frozen rain and several inches of snow Thursday. This week we have had to deal with the extreme cold. We ask that you put these things in perspective as you look out and see all the snow gone, seemingly, in an instant.

We are working all weekend to get things back in order and we are anxious turn the corner to get back to normal and ask for your patience as we get to that point.

02/11/2023

Hello. I had a nasty spill this morning. Fortunately, I was able to break the fall with my head. I will probably be out of commission until Monday. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

12/15/2022

Well, the words for the day will be SLOW and SAFE, for us and we hope, for you, too.

11/20/2022

Good morning! Today we are entering Thanksgiving Week. We will begin working today, expediting the week so that we can enjoy the long weekend with our families over the Thanksgiving holiday.

We love having you as our customers! Thank you for business and have a great Thanksgiving, yourselves.

10/23/2022

Good morning! I hope with the wind we are supposed to get in a little while that we don't all blow away.

As a reminder from earlier this spring, Ernie will be going out of town Thursday and returning late Monday. We will begin the work today and wrapping up the work week on Wednesday. Next week the work week will begin on Tuesday and will play catch up until all caught up by the week's end. This will only affect the customers that Ernie services.

Thank you for your patience on this matter and your continued business!

09/21/2022

First day of Fall, tomorrow. We are ready.

09/05/2022

Good morning! Just a quick note to let you know that, due to the Labor Day holiday, we will be taking today off and following a modified holiday schedule this week.

Thank you and have a great and safe Labor Day!

07/25/2022

Good afternoon Doo-B-Gone fam. I need to let you know that Friday was a bad day for us, more specifically, me.

To make a long story short, I ended up with severe heat exhaustion. The only thing that prevents me of calling it heat stroke was that I had no thermometer to take my temperature. Subsequently, around 10% of our customers on that day did not get their service, for which I am extremely sorry.

I spent all weekend recovering and, still, had to sit out another day, today (Monday). It hasn't been easy. I still have a massive throbbing headache and my equilibrium is a little off, but here towards the end of today, I am feeling much better. They say it takes a good week to recover from this, but you nor I have that kind of time.

I will start the week on Tuesday and combine days until I am caught up. I anticipate having all yards clean and clear by end of business on Friday.

Thank you.

07/11/2022

Good morning!

Just a reminder that we will be working ahead this week, ending our week tomorrow so that we may take a few days off and reward our personnel and my family.

We are concluding this week by Tuesday, close of business with a scheduled return of Sunday so that we may return to work first thing on Monday morning. We hope to avoid any flight cancellations that have been rampant over the last several weeks. We will keep you up to date if that should be the case.

Thank you for your business and your patience during a much needed break. We are truly grateful for all of you.

05/30/2022

In observance of Memorial Day we will be taking the day off. We will get back at early tomorrow morning. Thank you.

05/28/2022

Our accountant has given me permission to use Zelle as a payment mechanism. If you want to use that method, please feel free.

Thank you for your patience during this transition.
