What an incredible honor it has been for this human to be apart of Katie’s Kennel for FIVE years.

Gianna started with us in Feb of 2020. Her senior year in highschool (or what she got of that because of Covid). Her twin sister worked for us at the time and told us her sister rocked and we should hire her (shout out to Angelina)! She was hired before we even did our “interview”. lol. She was one of our first employees that helped build the foundation of our business but, also allowed Josh the opportunity to grow our business and family 🩷.

She came in a young, fresh, and a hard working highschool student and is celebrating her 5th year with us as a TOTAL BADASS of a human, manager, and adult. She’s got a heart (and soul) of anyone I’ve probably met. She’s got grit, street smarts, dedication, confidence, humility, & just a jazz for life (and her job) 🌟.

She’s took a little hiatus to go check out the world outside of KK and came back as our Manager and without a lot of direction from us, she’s slayed her new position and everyday works to sharpen her skills. She’s the ♥️ and soul of our staff and takes so much pride in teaching (and she’s insanely good at it) 👩‍🏫.

We are so lucky to be celebrating 5 years with her! 🤘🏼🥰🫶🏼🥹🐶

If you’ve had the privilege of seeing her at drop off or pick ups or conversing with her over email or text, please let her know how much we ALL appreciate her dedication to the dogs and overall awesomeness of what we do. We could NOT be doing this without her. Katie’s Kennel would NOT be KK without her 🏆.

We love you so much Gianna! Thank you for all you do for us, your staff, the dogs, and everyone that walks in the door.

Do you thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment? Are you organized and pride yourself on your work ethic. Katie’s Kennel is a boutique dog boarding facility where every team member plays a critical role in providing exceptional care to our four legged guests and their families.

As a Pack Member, you’ll be the foundation of our team, responsible for maintaining the safety, well-being, and happiness of the dogs in our care. This role requires attention to detail, a love for animals, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

⭐️WHAT WE OFFER...
‣Competitive pay starting at $16/hour during training, with opportunities to earn up to $18/hour as a fully trained Pack Member.
‣Additional income opportunities completing baths, along with tips.
‣Hands-on experience in a unique and rewarding environment.
‣A close-knit team and supportive work environment with a family-oriented culture and good vibes only.
‣Flexible scheduling: Shifts are MON-SUN 7am-12pm or 3pm-8pm.
‣A retirement plan with a 3% company match.
★Opportunities for Growth: Every team member starts as a Pack Member. Once you’ve mastered the fundamentals and are excelling in your role, you’ll have the opportunity to grow into a Senior Pack Member. From there, you can advance even further to become a Client Specialist, mastering all aspects of client communication and operational leadership.

⭐️Key Responsibilities:
•Monitor group play to ensure all dogs are safe and happy.
•Clean and sanitize play areas, kennels, and common spaces.
•Provide food, water, and medications according to detailed instructions.
•Observe and report any health or behavior changes in dogs.
•Bathe dogs as part of their care and comfort.
•Assist with drop-off and pick-up by gathering belongings and updating records.
•Learn and retain knowledge about dog behavior, proactively applying it to ensure safety and well-being, and seeking opportunities to expand understanding.

★Attendance Expectations: Reliability is critical to the safety of the dogs and the smooth operation of the business. Missing shifts, calling in, or being late can not be allowed. Each shift is scheduled based on the number of dogs in our care, and your absence directly impacts the safety of the dogs, the workload of your fellow staff, and the overall functionality of the facility.

⭐️Key Traits:
‣Brings energy, confidence, and positivity to work with them everyday
‣Strong communication and teamwork skills.
‣An eye for detail and a proactive attitude.
‣Commitment to excellence, task efficiency, and a strong work ethic.
‣Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
‣Capable of standing and being on your feet for extended periods (up to 5 hours).
‣Physically able and comfortable performing physical tasks such as heavy cleaning, handling dogs of all sizes and energy levels, bathing, and other related activities.

⭐️Requirements:
•A minimum of 20 hours per week is required, with preference given to those who can work 25 hours weekly. Consistent availability helps us ensure the safety and well-being of the dogs in our care.
•Flexibility during Peak and non-peak times (Spring Break, Summer, and Holidays)
•All holidays are mandatory workdays. This is non-negotiable. You will receive time-and-a-half or double pay, depending on the holiday, and some shifts may be shorter
•Must be 18 or older

We are not a typical kennel, more of a home-away-from-home. Think of us as a Dog Boarding Boutique.

Our mission has always been to create a space that your dog is excited to come to and hesitant to leave. We do things a little differently and see the huge difference it makes in our guests. Although we want to make our human clients happy, our number one priority is keeping our guests calm, happy, and stress-free while with us!
