We are trying to keep a smile on our faces but the whole fam got hit with Influenza A, and I’m the lucky one with lingering respiratory symptoms! I WILL respond to messages, texts, comments, help offerings etc. as I can, screen time literally hurts my face right now. I’ll catch up soon. Stay healthy out there, friends.

Sleepy, warm December day for the ponies ☀️

Weekend “on-call” stall help needed from end of December to beginning of February while Jane is in Florida! Our ponies live outside most of the time, except for precipitation or real frigidity. We should be able to give 48 hours notice to any one willing to help on the weekends. Only 14 horses to care for, hoping to have two people work together. Seven stalls per day. It is EASY PEASY! Message me.

Back in the bubble! Our barn and indoor took a beating from the hail, so as they get repaired, we are lucky to have another choice of places to ride during construction and rain!

Take a moment and reflect: How do I make my horse feel? I love that question!

𝘈𝘴𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧: Do I know how I make my horse feel?

Just like with people, actions speak louder than words… And your horse is always watching, processing, analyzing, and listening!

𝐒𝐨... 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥?

Do you make him feel confident and safe,
OR
Do you make him feel like he’s not good enough, not talented enough, or always doing something wrong?

Maybe you don’t realize it, but horses reflect who we are inside—they mirror our internal world, our secret selves, the parts of us we sometimes don’t want to confront.

Oof… that’s a lot to process sometimes. I get it.

But as equestrians, as stewards of our horse’s well-being, as compassionate horse people… It is important that we take time to observe… What is our horse showing us? What are they telling us?

Take a moment and just be. Just listen. You won’t regret it.

I have two on-site lease horses available:

- larger bodied gelding, shown up to Second Level. Balanced rider preferred but fairly tolerant. Lateral work super star. Safe safe safe.

- petite 14.3hh “hony” requiring experienced but petite rider. Unicorn pony and will need confident handler on ground, smooth and fun undersaddle. Shown competently training level. Personal horse, and I want him to have more of a job than I currently have time for!
