We had a Birthday Party this morning in our Structured Daycare! All the pups celebrated with Addie and Kit while munching on some pup cakes!

MARILYN HAS BEEN 🚨ADOPTED🚨

Marilyn is a beautiful Great Dane that found herself homeless and in a foster home in Omaha. Her foster mom reached to help teach Marilyn a few skills! We completed a training program with her and instantly fell in love with her goofy personality!

Marilyn returned once a week for Structured Daycare to help continue her training and socialize in our small playgroups. Time passed and this big lady still did not have a home UNTIL NOW! 💕

We are so sad that we won’t see Marilyn every week but are so happy to see her go to her forever home!

We love you, Marilyn!! 🐾

Three new friends tried out our Structured Daycare Program this week! We welcomed Lemon, Donnie, and Dewey!

Lemon is a 9 month old goldren retriever and so sweet! She had a fun time with our Friday Big Guy playgroup romping and wrestling with a handful of other puppies!

Donnie is a year old chihuahua mix! He was shy at first but opened up so quickly! He bounced around our Small Dogs playgroup and played with everyone -spinning, pouncing, and zooming!

Dewey is a 12 week old bernadoodle! He’s a small pup in a big world! He played, watched the older dogs, and got lots of treats for sitting so well!

We can’t wait to see these pups again soon!

There are just a few weeks left in the Omaha Magazine’s Best of Omaha!

Pups with a Purpose started in 2019 with a mission of helping dog, help people by training exceptional therapy dog teams! Our therapy dog programs were inspired by the work our Founder does with her therapy dog Stanley volunteering at schools, hospital, assisted living centers, and more! We can proudly say that our therapy dog training programs are taught only by trainers that are evaluators for a national therapy dog organization! From the beginning of training, testing, and volunteering - we are there guiding our clients to success!

Since 2019, we’ve expanded our programs to include puppy classes, structured daycare, private sessions, group classes, and more! We’ve taken great care in formulating curriculum for each one of these programs that is centered on our mission of helping people and dogs.

If you have taken one of our classes, interacted with one of our therapy dog teams, or just want to support our mission - we’d appreciate a dog for Omaha’s Best Dog Training Company! 💕

Help us welcome our latest Therapy Dog Graduates! 🎓

These pups and their people completed their Therapy Dog Readiness Class a few weeks ago and got to go on a Field Trip for their last class! 👏

We are so proud of the progress these teams made in class! This group is off to testing and soon will be impacting the community as Therapy Dog Teams!

What a wild couple days! ⚡️

Omaha suffered a tremendous storm with 90 mile per hour winds and over 200,000 people without power.

We were some of the lucky few that our facility had power and we were able to accommodate so many of our furry friends the last few days. 🐾

These pups’ parents made sure they had fun at Structured Daycare while they dealt with storm clean up. Oh, to be a dog!

Shout out to our small, but mighty team for stepping up in so many ways to support our clients during this time! They all brought their A Game and the dogs had a great week learning and playing!!!

🎓🐾 Congratulations to our newest Advanced Puppy Skills graduates: Echo, Piper, Keeva, & Cooper! 🐾🎓

To celebrate their accomplishments, these pups & their people took their new skills to Cabela’s for their final class, where they practiced proper greetings, walking nicely on a leash, & staying calm amidst distractions. And they all did AMAZING!

These adorable pups & their dedicated handlers are now one step closer to making their dreams of becoming certified therapy dogs a reality. Next stop: our Therapy Readiness class. We have NO doubt they’ll pass with flying colors!

Our Pre Therapy Dog Class participants learned this valuable skills on their recent group class! Our students all learn and practice the 4️⃣ Guidelines to People Greeting Skills so these pups can be the next therapy dog teams while bringing joy and smiles!!

They learned so many skills and got the chance to master these skills on field trips to dog friendly stores!

This class is a mix of teams wanting to volunteer in their community and a few dogs going on to work alongside their handler in a professional setting like a school!

✨Puppy Adventures✨ This week we took our Puppy Advanced Skills students on an outing. We were able to work on real life skills including a loose leash walk as well as navigating new environments. These pups and their humans have put in a lot of work over the last several months and it definitely shows! 🫶🏼

🎪🤹‍♀️ LOONEY TUNES 🤹‍♀️🎪 These comical lil pups sure know how to make us laugh and keep us on our toes during Puppy Social hour! 😂🧡

Last night we put our Puppy Trainers to the test with the egg race challenge!🥚🏁 We asked our Advanced Puppy students to do this same challenge a few weeks ago and figured it was only fair we do it too! The goal is to be able walk your dog in a loose leash heel in one hand, while balancing an a egg on a spoon in the other hand. Whoever makes it’s past the finish line first wins! 🏆 Training does not need to be boring or tedious work. Especially with puppies we often forget the most important thing, to have fun and enjoy them as they are while working on our training goals! 🫶🏼

Puppy Socials is one of our favorite classes!🐶🩵 Not only is this class amazing for our puppies to learn how to engage in play in a safe and supervised environment, but it’s also a great opportunity to connect with other puppy parents! Puppy Socials are fit for pups under 6 months old & are open to the public! ✨Registration is required✨

EGG RELAY RACES🥚🐾🏆 Our Advanced Puppy students had an EGGcellent time in class last week! One of the main things we focus on in this class is proofing the basic skills the learned in Puppy Essentials! The egg relay race is a fun way for our students to take their loose leash walking skills to the next level & show off all their hard work!🌟
