Meet Diane 👋 Ring-tailed lemurs are an endangered species of primate. They can be found in a diverse range of habitats throughout southern and south-western Madagascar and yet regardless of their adaptable nature, their population is decreasing and fragmented largely due to human activity.
Diane and her partner Cranberry are both members of the SSP (Species Survival Plan) for lemurs. 🩶

Did we welcome a little baby hippo? Yes! 🦛🎉
Bobo and Gladis welcomed their first baby river hippopotamus earlier this summer.
They may seem a little less social these days and it’s simply because they’re in the early stages of new parenthood.
We are currently giving Gladis and baby the time they need to bond without disturbance. Not to worry though, our care team is closely monitoring Gladis, Bobo and their baby and all three hippos are doing well at this time.
This is Gladis’ first baby and we know new motherhood is hard, regardless of species. 🤗🩶 Let’s give Gladis lots of love and encouragement while she experiences lots of big new mom feelings and is exhibiting new mom behaviours.
