On August 25, Luke arrived at our hospital unable to use his back legs, and we immediately jumped into action. After a thorough assessment, it was clear Luke needed an MRI and potentially surgery to give him the best chance at walking again. Our team worked swiftly, and after discovering a herniated disc, we knew we had to act fast.
With the expert care of Dr. Wachowiak and our incredible Neurology team, Luke’s procedure was a success! We were so excited to see him doing so well just a couple days after surgery—what an inspiring fighter!! 💪
Fast forward to today, after lots of crate rest, Luke is walking, trotting, and showing everyone that the comeback really is greater than the setback! We couldn’t be prouder of his progress and the love and dedication his family has shown throughout his recovery. ❤️🩹
There’s still more healing ahead, but we have no doubt Luke will continue to soar. We’re so grateful to have been a part of his recovery and can’t wait to see what the future holds for this brave boy! Congratulations Luke!! 🎉❤️
