My name is Christine and I am the owner of 4Paws Rescued Me in Whitby, Ontario. My family and I provide a home away from home experience for your dog while they are in our care. They have access to our home and large backyard to run around, play and socialize with our family dogs. Energy dynamics between the dogs is extremely important, therefore a Meet and Greet opportunity between our dogs and t

he potential guest dog(s) is required prior to any first visit with us. At this time, our home based, family environment is not suitable for dogs that display aggressive behaviours towards other dogs or people and/or dogs that are high energy and require a great deal of physical and/or mental stimulation to drain their energy and/or dogs that cannot regulate their own energy. Additional Information:

I am a active vetting volunteer with a local dog rescue in the Greater Toronto Area called Fetch + Releash. Since January 2020, my family and I have fostered 13 rescue dogs and have helped Fetch + Releash successfully match them with their forever families. I am also an Animal Intuitive. I have the ability to use my innate intuitive gifts to communicate with animals both present and those that have crossed over the rainbow bridge. The first day at doggy daycare is similar to the first day of school, lol. 😂🥰🐶👩‍🏫 On the first day of daycare, we do our best to actively observe the energy dynamics of the new dog and their interactions with the other dogs. Our goal is to ensure safety for all the dogs. Therefore, an initial visit is an important part of the process of determining whether or not this type of daycare environment is best suited for the new dog or if they would be more successful in a different type of environment. Simultaneously, we teach the new dog basic words paired with prompts to help them understand us and how the daycare functions. This also helps them work through any separation anxiety they may experience. For example, we teach the new dog that they are "staying," and their parents went "bye-bye" and other skills they need to have to be able to successfully integrate into the daycare environment. We also begin to establish a relationship with the new dog. We begin to build trust with the dog and help them understand that we are the leaders in the environment and that they are safe. We want them to know that we understand them and that we are here to care for them like a second family.
